Umm. My yellow 6 compared to my 'cool' / perfect 6+
;-)

Piss yellow.

Apple better pull their head out of their arse and get the displays correct. There is a huge gap in screen quality.

Keep sending them back people. If it takes 30 replacements so be it.

No, the whites are yellow. On my 6+ the whites are white.

Looking at the picture i posted both of those are 6's though. the one on the left looks like it has some discoloring. the right one looks like its just a warmer temp. idk

I've played the trade game and after three phones my is still yellow, but it's the best of the three so I'm happy.

I went to the store today and compared my iPhone to every other phone (6 and 6+) and they were PERFECT.

I'm convinced Apple knows which phones have the best display manufacturers and put those in their store. But I'm not upset because I can't tell the difference unless I compare them side to side.

I'm really tired of these screen quality issues with Apple. I have said this before, but I had to go through 5 replacements to get a good screen on my rMPB. No way I was going to accept a 3000 dollar (here in the UK) notebook with anything less than a perfect screen. I mean seriously!

The iPhone is also expensive for a phone. Why can't apple provide us with better screens? Is it just that most people are too stupid to notice that the screen sucks and instead just buy into the advertisements?

Apple's screens on these iPhone 6s are not good. I have yet to see one without piss poor uniformity or other issues. I am now on my second phone. I can't decide to call them back and keep getting replacements with the hopes of winning the display lottery or to just give up and let Apple win this one, or whether I should just switch to Samsung.

It really pisses me off to no end!

I don't remember ever having these issues in the past. This seems to be a relatively recent problem at Apple.

I thought we had figured out that not all the screens were yellow just warmer. Mine looks warm not yellow.

I love all the experts chiming in with 'they are not yellow, just warmer'. BS. Yellow is yellow. Doesn't matter what you call it. A yellow tint is wrong.

I feel that people here would probably see this yellow if they compared other electronics they have. For example same brand tv and android phones. I'm sure no screen is the same. I only see the warmer screen on mine when comparing side by side. Otherwise compared to some people on here I would say mine is good.

Now after a week with my replacement 6 plus
My last one was a tad on the yellow side compared to other devices
But this one is a tad on the pink , noticipal while driving BUT believe it or not my eyes can actually read smaller text a hell of a lot better now with the tad pink

I have bought a pair of glasses a long time ago that was supposed to be great for my / our eyes when using a computer monitor It turns the screen yellow ish

All I am saying is the blue / white we think is better MAY actually be bad for our eyes.

Now I had a 4s that was yellow that I swapped out for a good one but that 4s was washed out also not just yellow.

Some of these I see on here are fine and just like my old 6 plus and my wife's 6 are just a tad yellow Use the bold setting for them But my pink ish 6 plus I have bold off.

Now if you have uniform or pixel problems then that is a swap for sure

Agreed.

As my picture shows, there is a great difference. The whites were yellow. Call it warmer if you like, infact- think of it as completely perfect for all i care. All i know is that my new device has white whites and not different shades of yellow. Some may not like having pure whites on their phone, thats up to you! I prefer my yellows yellow, my whites white and my greys grey, not all different shades of urine.

No one is saying an non uniform screen is correct but warmer colors is not bad. If your screen doesn't have uniformity then that is a problem. Plus some people do really have yellow screens. Others are just tad warmer. No screen is exactly the same.

It seems like the iPhone 6 Plus's design (not sure about the 6) results in the screen being slightly warmer to the left and cooler to the right. Having gone through 2x 6 Pluses and having checked the display units in the store it seems to be pretty much the norm. If you're planning on waiting for Apple to fix this issue then you'll likely be waiting a long time.

It's something the vast majority of regular folks won't notice, but it's annoying when you do notice it. As they say, what has been seen can't be unseen.

I've gone through the swapping out game too many times to want to go through it again. I've done it before - returned 10+ iPhones until I get a perfect screen only to have something happen to it in 6 months time and end up with a replacement with a less-than-optimal screen. Trying to convince a Genius to swap phones for screen uniformity issues is much harder than taking advantage of the 14-day return policy, and there's no guarantee then second or even third replacement from the Genius Bar will be any better.

Apple seems to place colour and backlight uniformity lower on their list of priorities than other manufacturers do, and I'm beginning to think that short of switching to Android or Windows it's something we just have to deal with.

I've noticed this as well and even verified on the units in the store. It's much easier to see when the brightness is low and harder to notice at max brightness which is why everyone thinks apple's display models are perfect. They just are at max brightness in the store which results in the screen looking its best. Kind of like TV's in demo mode.

However it's not something that bothers me or detracts from the experience. I don't have any backlight bleeding, no dead pixels, perfect home button, good battery...a lot of which would be worse on a replacement phone. That's just the reality of Apple products these days. I also don't have time to swap my phone 10 times. I've played that game before and often you end up swapping one problem for another but some people do get lucky with the "perfect phone." That is until they read these forums and find a new issue to observe lol

My 3rd replacement is being shipped out soon. Let's hope it's better. I can't believe apple touts how great their displays are when so many have uniformity issues. My iPad 4 is perfect and my old iPhone 4 is perfect (or near enough). But there are quite noticeable defects in the two iphones 6s I've received so far. I'm not going to pay 619£ (that's 1000$) for a phone with noticeable defects in normal usage. I can't believe people don't notice this or complain if the issues are as wide spread as the people here (and my own experience) make it seem. If my 3rd isn't uniform. I'm just going to buy a galaxy s5.

Unfortunately some of these screens are made by LG which has a horrible record for mobile displays. If it's truly uneven and it bothered you swap it out. But check the new one thouroughly in the store as there's no guarantee that what you are going to get is any better
I'm surprised that Apple hasn't insisted on better quality from LG as this has been going in for years

You fail to comprehend what im trying to convey.
I like my whites white, not yellow. Call it warmer, i dont mind, but i dont like 'warmer' screens.
my perfect screen isnt 'cooler' it is simply perfect, whites are white. It is to only be considered 'cooler' in comparison to urine screens.
If you are happy with urine whites thats all good. It just seems as though you are trying to tell me what i should consider normal and yellow whites arent normal to me.
I have a bunch of 6 and 6+ in front of me, my friends and my own.
The yellow screens make photos look hideous in comparison to the good screens (good meaning white whites and grey greys)
The urine screens fade everything, take away sharpness and make the phone appear dimmer.
You either havent actually seen this in person to its full extent (yes, my mom has a fully yellow urine 4s, so i have seen the entire spectrum of urine stained screens) or you just prefer the warm urine screen.
The majority of people complain when they have yellow whites, not white whites. Bottom line: i like white balanced screens as do most of the other consumers, you obviously dont see an issue with urine washed whites, all good, i dont mind! That is all i have to say on the matter

Good luck man, i got lucky on my 3rd try. I went to a plus and my first one had a perfect display, i know the feeling

Look at the do not disturb icon. Must be dark blue (left), not purple (right)!

Since Apple divorced Samsung, Apple is using worse display panels.
Especially LG panels, blue's have a purple tint, even after calibration.
Why? It has to do with manufacturing choosing paint rgb powder stuff.
Last Friday i got my 128Gb Iphone. Within a few minutes i started a return.
Crap purple result and an uneven back-lighting.
A few weeks ago same purple **** with a new Macbook pro 13 inch. Also returned.
I had it. Thrown all Apple product into a "recycle bin" and switched my laptop, phone and Ipad to chromebook, Moto X and Samsung tab-s. Happy with accurate colors now.
Only the Moto X is a bit over-saturated (but accurate). Android L or an app can change that in the future i hope,

Have you guys tried increasing the brightness? Pretty much every screen on a low brightness setting is going to look yellow. If your screen is still yellow on a higher brightness then yeah you got a defect.

I get what your saying. I didn't mean to try and convince you. But looking at my comparison pictures few pages back. The one on the left looks whiter and the right warm. Not sure if that's the yelloe you mean.

Dude, the icon is supposed to be purple. If it was the result of the screen all the other blue icons would be purple as well.

iPhone 6 Screen with Yellow tint

I confirm that. It is supposed to be purple and a good calibrated screen will allways show it as purple.
The iP4/4S both have worse color gamut comparing to 5/5C/5S/6/6+, that's why the unit on left is not able to represent the proper nuance of purple.

IMO the phone on the left has the yellow/blue split, while the phone on the right has a cooler temp but shadowing on the right and bottom. I'd say most of these displays aren't perfect, but most people don't notice unless the tints are way off.
