In bright daylight ... put your phone on a sheet of white paper.
Still yellow? The temperature of a screen can be tricky.

Also, the past phones were much "cooler" especially my iPhone5.

My guess is, that the sRGB screen just appears to be warmer to you.
Do not, put to LCD screens next to each other.
They all look different.

LOL thanks for the faith my friend. I hate it with a passion.

I tried everything, jailbroke with those screen apps, let it sit for hours on a white screen,, you name it, and everytime I put it next to a good phone it was the same (except the jailbroke app, but it still was not right at all)

Do yourself a favor and swap it, nothing works but a swap!!!

Sorry but this is BULL!!!!!!!

I have a HTC one max, my wifes old samsung s3, even my old samsung note 2, and my wifes new iphone 6 all look practically the same on white backgrounds , I had a yellow screen and it is yellow and a defective screen, hands down!!!!

Swap it out, it is the only way!!!!

Doesn't look yellow at all. You're crazy. lol

That's what I thought, too. But I shut up now. Let them play the "Swap my phone" game five times. I don't care.

I just turned mine on and started using it. Why are people so obsessed.

While I get that people don't want yellow displays - Apple has never officially identified them as defect or issues - even for computers.

While you can go ahead and swap it out - don't expect the salesperson to shift through inventory for a "perfect" device.

yellowgate

Does it look like this??

Replace it!!

or better yet someone from here that thinks there is nothing wrong with it should be glad to swap thiers!!!

I almost don't want to look through any forums because of all these stupid "defects" people complain about. I am not that OCD about any device. I love my iPhone 6+ and think it's flawless and don't want to see someone point something so trivial out and make me worry when most people wouldn't even notice the so called "defect" in the first place.

Or maybe it's FINE! Be thankful. I've never owned a iPhone with a normal screen. It's always washed out and ugly.

Iphone 6+ 128 gig here

Perfect cool screen no yellowing (First thing I checked compared to my 5s)
Zero dead pixels
Zero artifacts under glass
Bright white background - white looks perfectly even
Bright black background - absolutely zero light bleed

Looks like I finally got a good one on my first one this time around.

Bad luck with the 5s, 5, 4s, 4, and 3gs - all had problems out of the box

I dont play the swap game, I keep the first one I get - dont care to worry about the details too much

----------

Before you return, I recommend turning brightness on full and leaving it on for a few hours plugged in charging to where the screen will not go to sleep.

This helped on my 5 and 5s as the glue needed to dry between the panels.

Anyone else feel free to input - this has been widely talked about on the net and proven to be a successful practice and greatly reducing to eliminating the yellowing.

Plugging in will keep the screen from sleeping? I will try this though.

No plugging in so it doesnt die on you while staying on. You have to go into the settings and turn off the option that puts the screen to sleep.

Best thing to do here is take it to the apple store. Turn off auto brightness and crank the brightness to maximum manually. Then compare yours to the ones in the store.

If yours is the odd man out color temperature wise, then ask for a replacement and use the screens in store as evidence to support your request.

I used to obssessed with yellow/tint screen and went through a few exhanges at Apple Store. Apple never think it is an issue at all.

Now I realize that it won't matter much months later.

My two iPhone 6 plus screen is "yellowish" like OP's screen, not as white as my iPhone 5. But it is ok. I won't focus on it and bother with exchanging it

everytime a new apple product comes out people talk about yellow screen. ITs not a yellow sreen. they have all been warmer since the 1st iPhone.

This is something I think about, but I never notice.

My understanding is that the screens start out warm, and then age a little towards blue. It has something to do with the adhesive between the glass and the LCD panel.

The only way you can REALLY tell, is by comparing it to another iPhone.

Question: What week is your phone? Mine is Week 35. I compared it to my iPad. My 6+ is brighter, but does not seem any more warm or yellow.
This is the most persistent Apple myth ever. There is no adhesive that has to dry.

If your screen is yelllow, it's yellow. It won't change.

iPhone 5 is sRGB as well.

Not really, chances are your local Apple Store will have >20 iPhones with perfect screens, while your replacement (doesn't matter if it's the first or 20th) will never get close.

I feel almost everyone has a "yellow" screen. IT only looks yellow if you compare it to something bright... really lol people need to move on from this.

No sir. Apple needs to get their quality in order. My screen isn't just yellow it's washed out. It's not vivid or clear at all. It's a real issue.

Pics? IDK i mean it is possible it could be defective, but unless you compare your screen to someone else's how do you know its "washed out"

My iPhone 6 has a bluish tint to it, which is just fine with me. I prefer it over the warm screen on my iPhone 5S.

Yeah I would be happy with a blue tint. It's easy on the eyes and it doesn't hurt the vividness of the display like the yellow does.

First thing I checked. Mine is good. I have had the yellow tinted screen on past phones though.

Same here - my 5 had the yellow tint and comparing the two (4.7" 6) the 6 is far more how it should be. I imagine the yellow tints come from LG panels as I've always found them to have that characteristic when calibrating in the past.

People tend to like cool screens better, it' what we've been learned to like. To most of us, a proper screeen with great colour reproduction would probably look yellow and dull.

Nah, neutral tends to look pretty good on everything because colours all look far more natural and distinct from each other. The warm, yellow tint that some iPhones exhibit isn't "correct" - here's how my iPhone 5 measured:

And here's how it compared to my iPhone 4 before it, which was a little on the cool side but nowhere near as far from neutral as the 5:
