Got it replaced today fellas. Same issue I think... I compared it to the store display and sure enough that one was ****ing beautiful. I think I'm giving up after one replacement. It's too much hassle.

My iPhone 5 has a yellow tint to it, was told to give it a while and the color will eventually turn warm. NEVER HAPPENED. I'm so glad my 6 doesn't have that problem. Loving it.

Don't give up! I suffered from yellow screens for years, and finally got a phone with a perfect screen. I knew the second I turned it on and saw the apple logo that I had a beautiful blueish screen. They exist!

I got my phone on preorder this year vs in store like other years.

BTW, the enjoyment levels from this beautiful clear screen are off the charts. Don't give up man, it looks so much better! People comment on how clear and beautiful it looks!

Don't let anyone tell you it's glue drying. That is completely preposterous. It won't get better period. Get it replaced.

i hope i dont have to play the screen lottery and get perfect phone the first time around.

I did luck out with my rmbp getting the samsung screen and samsung ssd version on the first try. Still loving it to this day.

If you don't mind me asking - what storage size is your iPhone 6? 16GB?

Guys,I have the same issue check the photo below:

iPhone 6, and iPad Air

both are on iOS 8, and maximum brightness

Most people think a properly calibrated screen looks bad because they are used to screen being set on torch mode. I remember when I got my led set professionally calibrated. I thought it looked dull. Now everything else looks blown out and cartoonish.

My 6 MAY have a screen flaw. Hard to explain. It's sort of a grey-isg "smudge" that is only evident on a white screen, and it only covers a very small part of the top of the screen.

I don't know if it's worth it to try the swap game, but seeing it compared to my wife's flawless 6 makes me feel sorta jealous

urrr

I'm having the same issue. Got the handset today (ip6+ SG 64GB) and the first thing i noticed was how yellow and dull the white point is. Sure enough after placing it next to my ip5 the screen looks terrible. You can see the side by side comparison below, i don't even have to label them.

Here we go....

Owning every iPhone but the first one - this whole Yellow Screen thing.. does exist. So please don't do that. It's a legit issue.

My iPhone 5 was the worst. Had 7 replacements before I got one that was not yellow. My 5S had the crappy interlacing issue that drove me bonkers. Was replaced once and no issues after that. My 6 is fine. I did not compare it to anything and I don't plan on it. If I don't see it immediately (you can notice it immediately upon using the phone), it's a non issue for me.

This problem exists and the big tells are..

1 - Obvious warm/yellow color. Some are worse off than others.
2 - Looking at the phone from different angles and seeing the tint on the phone change from cool to warm or vice versa as you change angles.
3 - All the colors are washed out. They don't POP.
4 - Screen clarity in general looks sub par.

Again, you can tell right off usually.

Just stop it. You aren't fooling anyone.

If Apple was so set on producing "warmer" screens, then why does every iPhone eventually return to cool screens a month or 2 after launch? And then the following year some jagoff claims the new ones are warmer than last years - which were claimed that year to be warmer than the year before. Yet the new phone is always compared to a cool screened version of the last years phone. So guess what?

Its a defect that happens every launch. Its not intentional. Its a defect. It's not more correct. Its a defect. The end.

Where in my post did I reference an iPhone screen? Simply stating a fact that most people think a properly calibrated screen looks bad. Come check out my professionally calibrated lcd set. I bet you thinks it's dull. I can guarantee you it's not

Who says the so-called "professional" who calibrated your screen is right? Who says the standards he used are right?

Most people prefer a blueish, high contrast display. If professional standards say that a warmer yellow tint is better, then the standards are broken. Don't put so much trust in some fake label.

Thank you.

A fake label? The standards were set so when you watch something you get what the makers of the movie/program/media want you to see. If there is no standard then what's the point?

That being said, there's no law against you or anybody else liking your screens how you want them. That is no matter how improperly it is setup. ;)

Mine's fine. Actually I compared it to my old iPhone 5 and could not believe how yellow and dull my 5 had become (and I never noticed it at the time).

Here we go....

Here we go again with "here we go again" inane and unoriginal comments - third one on this thread alone. What is the point of ridiculing people who unfortunately got a yellow screen on their new expensive phone? And yes, I'm sure that you and others are qualified to determine that someone's yellow screen is all in their head and that yellow screens don't exist.

Just got my 6 and it feels like it could be yellow because I'm paranoid.

Compared it to the 5 and it looks great while the 5 looks yellow.

Now I definitely didn't get a "cool" phone but it's better than my 5. I'm blasting my screen brightness though in hopes it may get better.

I tried taking pics but for some reason the 6 looks more yellow? But to the eye it's not hard to notice it looks better.

Weird, but I only care how my eyes see it, not a camera.

PS - maybe by posting manufacturing week and facility we can tell which versions are yellow?

Mine is warm on left cool on the right. iPhone 6 plus. Sending it back for $1000 should be even color scheme, purchased unlocked, phone is in perfect condition which is the worst part! But the screen looks worse compared to my 5s! I'll wait a few months ##

Went through 4 and had the same issue on the plus. My 6 is better than my older phone though!
