This post is full of lies. Android does not lag at all.

Actually many do, not all of them however.

Also I would like to see how android performs on iPhone hardware specs.. I don't think it would be as smooth as IOS.

I would say it does, but I've only used two Android handsets in all the time I've had an iPhone. One was the Xcover and I don't remember the other, (both Samsung tho).
Having said that I'd say the iOS performance edge is very small. Also it may not be a lack of performance, it might actually be that the delay imposed after you touch but before something actually happens is longer by design?

Some Android phones have powerful hardware for sure. Octocores and 4gigs of RAM. And yet it still feels laggy to me.

For once in your life actually use an iPhone for awhile. Browse the web, run apps, look up documents, etc. Then go back to your octocore android phone with 4gigs of ram and yet it still lags. Applications crash all the time. One phone will get the newest game while your 1 year older phone doesn't (fragmentation). You can only get on average 1 update for your phone. Where apple you can get the update when it comes out.

Explain to me how that is? Because I'm just going to say that iOS is the better operating system. I want the best and the iphone is the best. Do I want larger screens? Yes. I'm not going to sacrifice quality and the best operating system for a larger display however. :apple::apple::apple::apple:

In fact recent studies have shown that iOS apps crash more consistently across almost all versions of iOS, the only exception being Gingerbread {4 years old} at 1.7% to iOS 7.1 at 1.6%, all other versions of android have fewer app crashes than iOS.

Most of the other stuff you wrote about android is also untrue ;)

Very good exercise but it is just that: an exercise.
I don't think the iPhone 6 will be just a "magnified" iPhone 5S.

Surely the touchid will have an impact on phone dimensions, and iphone6 won't be the smallest 4.7" on the market, but I still consider Ive a very talented designer, so I think he's going to change something.

Looks like the iPhone 6 will retain a ppi of 326
While the Galaxy S5, Nexus and HTC ONE had 440+ ppi..... Apple is falling behind

Only on 1GB of RAM on the iPhone 6,another bummer!

It's funny because at one point Android users were telling us that 326 PPI meant nothing, that they couldn't even see the difference. Now we're supposed to believe it's a huge deal? Even when they're cheating the numbers with PenTile?

This isn't the iPhone 6. This is a mockup.

These aren't the iPhone 6 specs. This is conjecture.

I personally am really grateful that the iPhone 6 is coming up. I've been wanting to upgrade my 4S, and this saves me having to downgrade to a Nexus or Samsung phone.

I've been strongly considering switching to the iPhone but if the iPhone 6 really does end up being that much bigger than my Moto X I likely won't switch.

I disagree actually. I don't think there is anything in there* design philosophy that requires symmetry. I think they care a lot about good design, but good design is as much about usability as it is about appearances. We will see soon I suppose.

*their. Sorry, pet hate of mine. :D

Amen. I want to upgrade my 4S too.

iPhone 6:

Smaller screen, bigger body, thinner with less battery life than everything else. The new iPhone 6. Comes with extra serving of kool-aid.

Ah my gawd! The iPhone is still not big enough! Back to the drawing board!

/sarcasm

Bigger iPhones are like bigger cars and selling against SUV's. In the end you're not gonna want it.

The HTC one, the nexus 5, and the lg g2 are all using non pentile screens. Same with the moto X as well.

Almost everyday when I observe a oversized smartphone user, they are forced to use two hands. They do try with one hand but ultimately fail in frustration, put down what they are holding, if anything, with the other hand and back to two hands use.

As far as seamless look when in their pockets? Forget it, it looks ridiculous in jeans, suites and women purses.

Hopefully Apple will provide both sizes. Normal, unobtrusive, comfortable one hand use, and the other, oversized two hands use.

If you are gonna use mid range phones. it might lag. However Phones like my 2 year old Nexus 4(roughly) performs just as well or even better sometimes.

Interesting comparison. Fact is I want a larger iPhone and am looking forward to the official announcement. I don't care about HTC, Samsung etc no matter the relative sizing as iOS is my main consideration. If the new iPhone 6 isn't to my liking I'll stick with the current sizing, I don't believe Apple will drop it completely.

I was actually looking forward to the 4.7'' iPhone, but now I am not so sure. The LG G2 is a nice phone, but it's a bit too big for me. I expected the new iPhone to be substantially smaller than the G2, but now it looks to be of similar size, despite the G2's significantly larger screen. I hope I will be positively surprised once the new iPhone is released.

I really hope they go 1080p, and not some bizarre lesser resolution. I'm not a fan of Android, or the plastic phones. But the screens are gorgeous. It's also ridiculous to have letter-boxing on pictures I take with my iPhone's own camera! I can understand older apps that weren't updated, but come on. I agree with you 100%, Apple is trailing on the display front.

If they use that same "it means more to us to get it right" excuse for the displays, then they're just insane at this point :D i know what you mean with the screens, damn. i bought a note 3 recently and holy ****. the blacks are great and the resolution and screen size is just amazing! really hoping apple at least does 1080p.. which is, at this point, honestly kind of a lame move considering other companies are thinking of and heading towards a more QHD-friendly world.

IMHO, the Nexus 5 is the perfect size to be at, you can push it by 5.2 but that's still pushing it too far.

I wish Apple would do away with "Home Button" it has been taking way too much space for nothing and double tapping for multitask is annoying as well. There should be simpler method, c'mon Apple! you're genius at simplicity, so make it happen. Time to change and innovate once again. You've been stalling and milking it for way too long.

For nothing? It turns the phone on, activates Siri, unlocks the phone with Touch ID, takes screenshots and reboots the phone in conjunction with the power button and as you've mentioned, is used for multitasking. It's super simple yet very versatile. It's a design choice that was incredibly well thought out IMO and is the reason why the best selling Android phone continues to include a hardware button. I mean, how much simpler can it get than one button?

To truly appreciate it, just use an Android device. I still remember the confusing mess of superfluous options that Android started out with on my G1 seed unit and even now, includes multiple universal buttons that unnecessarily steepens the learning curve.
