Who are we kidding? As soon as the new iPads come out we will all want one.

Ha! Really no. I never get excited over iPads since I had the first one.. it's like a spare wheel around here. Not big or functional enough for heavy use (files are a disaster on it compared to a real Mac) and not small enough for travel.

Girlfriend actually does all her browsing on the sofa and in bed on her 4S and doesn't touch her iPad :D

I can understand the reasoning behind certain preferences. But that's pushing it a bit :D

She reads a bit on it and I've got her hooked on clash of clans as well. Being able to see the whole battle at once makes a massive difference in that game. She enjoys several other games as well. More or less it's her game console which the larger screen makes for a better experience.

When the iPad came out, there was a hoopla about throwing the laptop out. Today, for the most part, we cringe at the thought of touching our way through major writing and editing amongst other things.

The 6 Plus is still a phone and I can't see it replacing the iPad, well not the 10". I thought about it but I can't see laying back in my bed with a large phone.

I couldn't imagine laying in bed with a heavy 10 inch screen. Bed is for sleeping. Maybe a little reading or light browsing - that's why Kindles are 6 inch now and uber popular.

Misses was going to get the 6 and keep her mini, but saw the 6+ and decided to consolidate. Well see how she likes reading on the 'medium' screen. She can burn through a 1000 page book in a week!

Getting the 6+ has stopped me from upgrading my iPad (on iPad3 at the moment). That might change if it turns out to be a PITA to use at home but I doubt it, as I use the 5s at home a fair amount
