So I had a fondle of both.

The 6 is perfect in the hand. Just a little bigger than my 5 but still good ergonomics.

The 6+ is big, almost like a smaller version of an iPad mini. I was able to take photos with one had in portrait and landscape. - takes some practice but it is possible.

It's way too big to fit in the strap pouch on my rucksack. But the 6 still fits.

I tested side by side the cameras from both in store, zooming in to pixel level and the 6+ is a smidgen better than the 6 -- sharper and maybe slightly better dynamic range handling esp in HDR mode.

My 5 lasts only a day with normal use. From reports, it seems the 6 is the same battery wise.

Where is the 6+ people are getting 2 days worth...

So in this regard, the battery life is def better esp when travelling..

Do you have a screen protector on?

Yes! I do have a screen protector on and it's the tempered glass kind. It may not have the coverage that a lot of people would be satisfied with but the Ringke Fusion covers it on the edges and still has lay-on-the-table lip. Believe me, I was as picky as everybody else on here until I got my 6 plus yesterday. It's just fine and doesn't distract me from this large screen. I still will go trade in my 5 tomorrow and get AppleCare+.

The 6 is significantly better in the battery life department than the 5.

Oops sorry Madam. how do you carry it? In your bag or jacket pocket?

When i dont use it its on my purse mostly but if i have to go somewhere to convenience i got it in my hand,my autumn coat is only fit for 5s , but the winter coat definitely will fit the plus, i dont really have problem carrying my ip plus,my habit still the same with the previous (5s),but i understand that the plus is not for everybody, for men especially since they dont carrying purse everywhere like women do. Pls dont carry purse, men.:D

The + is too big or it isn't. That's all you need to decide.

For me the + is not too big to use but it's too big to carry around on a regular basis.

Had the 6. Got buyers remorse after holding and playing around with the 6+. Better battery life, bigger/better screen(1080p) and optical stabilization were reason enough to go bigger. The size of the 6+ is a bit of an adjustment at first but you definitely get used to it.

I have been using both and I have to say ois even though its nice on paper I haven't noticed much difference in camera quality at all. Maybe during lower light situations but over all video and stills look great and pretty close to the same on both. Also battery life on the 6 I just got this today. So to me IMO I would say the six or six plus or pretty on par. Except for screen resolution and slight display quaility .

Battery life of the Plus is noticeably better then the 6, I just came from a 6 to a Plus and i am getting noticeably way longer battery life on the Plus, im actually in awe and really amaZed how long this battery last on the Plus, its amazing..

I like the throw back with the clown fish. :D Is that a Retina image and if so where I can I download it for my 6 Plus?

I originally wanted the iPhone 6 because I thought the 6 Plus would be too big. I cut out paper models of both phone and was still dead set on the 6. A few days later (about 3 before the preorders started) I looked and looked hard at both cut outs. I knew I would have to get the Plus. I had to, its the perfect size for me.

I get it in, and the first thing I said was "Holy ***** this sucker is HUGE!". My entire 5s fit in the perimeters of the 6 Pluses display (with some extra space on both sides) so it took some getting use to. About 3 weeks later my brother got his 6 and I compared them. I could not imagine life with the 6 because it didn't feel like much of an upgrade over my 5s. The 6 Plus did.

I have big hands but it still took some getting use to the 6 Plus. I can touch almost the entire display with my thumb except the last 1/2" of the opposite corner. I love the phone though. Best display of any iPhone to date.

which one?

I went with the 6 plus and am glad I did. Battery and camera are some of the main reasons. I also don't have an iPad and hate powering up a laptop so my phone is my main source of web and email outside of my office. The crazy part is, now that I've used the plus for a week, the 6 seems small. I know its not, my fiancé has one and it is very nice, but I'm so used to the screen and overall size it would be hard to go to something smaller. I have naturally migrated to more of a two handed approach, but it's not at all the burden I thought it would be. I would say if to try it for sure, and you might be surprised at how easily you adjust. You can always return it for a 6.

Edit: Remembered one more reason. I know longer have use for a kindle. Reading is perfect on the 6 plus. I never have to remember to bring my kindle just in case I wanted to read somewhere other than home. It's always in my pocket.

The plus has been glitchy for me. Definite stutter and lag in various circumstances (plenty of threads on that). OIS is probably nice, though I can;t notice much of a difference between my wife's pics (she has a 6). If the camera is all you care about, I'd save the $100. Keeping my plus because I love the screen real-estate. Crossing my fingers that subsequent updates smooth things out a bit.

I don't understand why so many are saying that the 6 is not a justifiable upgrade from the 5s the 6 and 6+ are the exact same phones minus a few extras bigger screen/ resolution, battery size and OIS what else am I missing here? I have the 6 and it is a great upgrade, and amazing device and feels just like my 6+ minus the screen size I get almost 2 days standby and 8 hours of screen on time with my 6 which is awesome no matter how you put it.

I would say the screen size increase is a huge factor in the "experience" you feel. At this point there really isn't a killer new feature in the 6 or 6+ that makes a noticeable difference when using the device day to day. I remember I got to hold a 6 the night before the release and I was extremely underwhelmed.

I felt like if there was no 6+ and only the 6 I would seriously consider not upgrading. It just didn't feel like much of an "upgrade". It's all about the user experience and I feel like at this point for alot of people the only thing that really changes that experience for them sufficiently is the amount of screen increase in the plus.

It makes watching movies, playing games, reading books THAT much more noticeably different and significantly improved from the 5/5s. It offers a much more noticeable difference in the user experience.

It's like someone going from a 36" TV to a 42" vs. going to a 50".

How is the difference on eye strain/fatigue reading for long periods on the Plus vs. your Kindle ??

Would you say the Plus is Ideal for you for reading for long periods of time ?

OK it is a put user experience and I feel the hardware is not underwhelming but beautiful. I believe that until apple looks a little more into their GUI and start trying maybe something a little more innovative in terms of design not just changing colors and icons. I'm not hating on apples iOS I love my iPhone but its has not changed much at all maybe a feature or new every year but that's about it and android is the same way, but lollipop is looking promising.

I think it's great. I typically read in sepia, it cuts a lot of the brightness out. I used to read in black and white with no issues on my 5 when I was on the go and could do so for long periods of time. I made the switch and it just feels more comfortable on the eyes. I usually don't set a good book down and I spent over 4 straight hours reading on Sunday and didn't notice any fatigue. I love having it on my phone because some books I read every chance I get, during breaks, at lunch, car rides etc.

I'm trying to decide between the 6 and 6+ as well. The 6 is about the same size as my HTC One (M7) so it wouldn't really change how I do things now. The 6+ definitely has better battery life and OIS, but is is a lot bigger than what I currently have.

I'm a week into the 6 plus. Having second thoughts as it is definitely not a one handed device. Doing the usual answering phone calls/messages is not as smooth as it was obviously with the 5s. Thinking of going with a 6. Tough decision, haven't decided which way to go yet.

I got adjusted to the 6+ size after about 2 weeks and have changed several settings and the battery is lasting me a long time.

6 Here

I went from a 5 to a 6 and the battery life is better. It's not as good as the 6+, I'm sure, but don't assume it won't be an improvement.

I was absolutely convinced I wanted a 6+, but after repeated store trips to fondle both, I decided the 6 was better for me. It feels like a significant upgrade from the 5. The battery life is definitely improved - a mix of hardware updates and iOS8 improvements, most likely, plus I've gone through the "background refresh" list and made sure nothing was on that didn't need to be on, and that seemed to help quite a bit as well.

I tend to have a mild anxiety attack if my battery life falls below 50%, but I have gone a few days without charging from the time I wake up to the time I go to bed, and typically I'll have ~30% charge left with ~15h standby and ~6h of usage since last full charge. My 5 wouldn't have lasted the full day, much less be ~30%.

My biggest concern was that I often have my phone in a front pocket of casual/athletic shorts when in the back yard running around with the kids or the dog, and I didn't want something so cumbersome that it would be a nuisance or potentially fall out. I'd have loved the bigger screen size, but honestly there are times when the 6 is a bit gangly to one-hand - I can't imagine trying to do the same with the 6+.

I do take a lot of photos, and that was also a factor for me. The OIS comparisons and reviews I found online didn't stand out significantly enough to be a determining factor. Both take some great pictures and video, and both have a few weaknesses that could be improved upon.

In the end, it just felt like (again, for me) the cons outweighed the pros. I'm sure if I'd of chosen a 6+ I'd be here telling you how great it is. I have a few friends who got the 6+ and they tell me all the time how great it is. So... it just depends on your usage and how you carry your phone. Just don't discount the 6 if the 6+ seems like it'd be a bit too large - it's a beautiful phone, a worthy upgrade to the 5, and you'd be very happy with it.
