iphone 6 vs 6+

I'm going to a store today to fondle both ;-)

How did your "session" at the store go? Did you go for the plus?
The battery life is awesome. Trust me, once you have the plus for a few hours, it will seem normal in size to you. When I opened the plus box for the first time, I was a little intimidated. I have a large mitts, but after holding it and using it, the 5s just seemed way to small now. It gets better with everything you do with it.

So I had a fondle of both.

The 6 is perfect in the hand. Just a little bigger than my 5 but still good ergonomics.

The 6+ is big, almost like a smaller version of an iPad mini. I was able to take photos with one had in portrait and landscape. - takes some practice but it is possible.

It's way too big to fit in the strap pouch on my rucksack. But the 6 still fits.

I tested side by side the cameras from both in store, zooming in to pixel level and the 6+ is a smidgen better than the 6 -- sharper and maybe slightly better dynamic range handling esp in HDR mode.

My 5 lasts only a day with normal use. From reports, it seems the 6 is the same battery wise.

Where is the 6+ people are getting 2 days worth...

So in this regard, the battery life is def better esp when travelling..

UPDATE:

I have purchased a Space Gray 64GB 6+. Took a bit of hunting but a good  business specialist snagged one and put it aside as soon as stock came into the store. Bought outright..

Will pick up today. Cases (Poetic Atmosphere Slim-Fit Transparent & Ringke fusion clear) + Spigen Steinheil Flex HD Screen Protector coming by tomorrow/monday..

Awesome! I have the same setup. Battery life is the best with the plus. It took some getting used to, not using my back up battery power pack at lunch to charge it. Now I'm able to use it instead. Anyway, enjoy your new plus!
( that was cool of the Apple tech to put one on the side for you, this weekend I rolled by the store in Paramus NJ, and they had a stock of pluses, and there was a decent line there. When I came home, just to look, they sold out all of them.)

finally got a chance to play around with both the last couple days.

Definitely leaning towards the Plus

the 6 doesn't feel like much of an upgrade. Even though I knew the phone had a bigger screen I just couldn't "feel" it.

I kept thinking that if I went with a 6 that I would feel like I didn't even really upgrade.

Still have some time to think about it but I'm definitely leaning towards the Plus.

Finally going to upgrade my 5S. I have visited the Apple stores quite a few times to play with both. The 6 feels just perfect . . . but I plan on going with the 6 Plus. Never had a phablet before, so I figure why not try it

you cannot kill the battery in one day.


Ive tried, its almost impossible unless you sit in bed for 8 hours straight streaming over LTE.

I have the 6 and battery also lasts for more than 1 day. I think I will buy plus next year

Remembered one more reason. I know longer have use for a kindle. Reading is perfect on the 6 plus. I never have to remember to bring my kindle just in case I wanted to read somewhere other than home. It's always in my pocket.

You know, this is going to sound strange and I haven't seen anybody with a similar experience. I have the 6+ and have been pondering returning it to get the 6 because the 6+ is so fricking HUGE. But I just went and got my Kindle Paperwhite after reading your post and, you know, it is the perfect size phone for me if it were a phone...lol. It fits in my pocket and feels great to hold like a phone. It feels better than the 6+ for me. I mean, I guess the 6+ is not big enough for me so it makes it kind of awkward and clumsy for my hands. Seriously, if they had an iPhone 6+++ that was Kindle size, I would get it. And my hands aren't especially big. Oh well, go figure, maybe iPhone 7 will be Kindle-sized, LOL.
