I haven't seen a slip yet, but I guess it could happen. I would be a little irate since I need to get it before 10/6 in order to sell my old one for the most cash, but it wouldn't be the end of the world just cost me about $100.

This is what mine says when I went to place the order just now. I really hope that is not the actual ship date. My iPhone 4 finally died and I am using a cheap (and stupid) Android phone that I am ready to set on fire. I tried to reserve in all the stores around me on the 12th and they were all sold out of the model that I need.

Probably bogus. Tropical storms last in an area a day or 2. The launch date isnt for 11 days still, and they wont start shipping them for a good 5-6 days.

Plus the storm hit WAY south of China in Vietnam already.

Looks like some bogus info. Vietname and Thailand are WAY south of China and not between China and the US.

My friend said to just put any model in the preorder form for pick up in store. Then show up and tell them what I really want. I don't know, sounds a bit risky and dishonest...

My finger is hovering over the order button as we speak. That shipping date quote is scary, though.
