iPhone 6s and 6s Plus Orders Now Shipping Ahead of September 25 Launch

Curious if anyone has had this issue:

I ordered 2 6s+'s. One was a 64gb SG AT&T. I've got tracking info and everything for that. Apple shows as Preparing for Shipment. I can see the serial number too.

The second phone (ordered first at 3:05 EST) is a 128gb Gold AT&T. At one point after it went to preparing for shipment, it reverted back to processing, then went back to preparing for shipment. The charge that was originally placed on my cc no longer shows (but it's still reflected in available credit).

Despite all that, it still indicates 9/25 delivery but the disappearing charge and switch back and forth from processing to preparing for shipment is strange.

Any one else have this happen to them?

Interesting. My phone is shipping from PA (2lb package). I assumed that Apple sent my wife's in the same package; however, we just received her tracking and it is shipping from China (0.4kg).

Ugh me too!!! What the heck is it doing there? Just enjoying a mini-vacation?!? Last night they didn't leave China until midnight Cali time. So we'll have to see later tonight/tomorrow morning!!!

I got a silver 16GB 6s unlocked (T-Mobile). I had the Apple Store app I think like at 12:08AM ready to go, but didn't buy until 12:10AM.

It's still at ZhengZhou, China since 9/19. I did get a notice yesterday 9/21 that it cleared customs or something (thanks UPS MyChoice).

It sounds like all the Pluses are what have gone to Taiwan! Mine and my husbands arrived in and departed Taiwan this morning.... We'll see where they go next? Maybe a brief stay in Hawaii?

Anyone else see that in their UPS Choice tracking? (Apple site shows "preparing for shipment" and my CC has already been billed)

Mine still says "preparing for shipment" also. Google "UPS track by reference" and use your phone number with no spaces or dashes for the reference number and enter your country and ZIP Code and you should pull a tracking number up. My phone shows its in Taiwan now via ups track by reference and "preparing for shipment" by "Apple Order Status"

Yeah I think it is two phones because mine only weighs .7 pounds also so yours is double the way so it most likely has two phones in the same box

After having it for a year! its deft to big for me! I am a small guy 130lbs and 5'7. I just think its to big for me! and when its in my pocket not good!

You guys are all so lucky! Ordered mines at 3:00am EDT on ATT's site and still have a delivery date of Oct 16th - Oct 23rd. Plus it's still listed as in progress.

So I was going to cancel it on Friday and get it from the store so went to a NJ ATT store today to see how that would work and they said that they will be delayed shipment due to the pope so I can't even go to the store and get it on release day. Blah I don't want to wait a month later for a phone that was "PRE" - ORDERED.

Thanks ATT! Very disappointed in my first ever pre-ordering process.

Did you order through the Apple website or AT&T?
I ordered at 2:53 ET 6S+ RG, 64GB and i have a projected delivery date of 10/16...there is a thread about AT&T shipment dates and we're all going bananas about the lack of information we've received from AT&T regarding the exact shipment information.

Melissa, I preordered my 6+ last year via AT&T and had a similar projected shipment date as you and I both do now. I actually received the phone 1 day after the release date...so it would be equivalent to this saturday. I ordered that phone an hour after the preorder went live. I'm very hopeful that we will receive our phones a lot earlier than that estimated date, if not this weekend sometime. Also, last year i didn't receive shipping information regarding my phone until it was already in the US and on the way. I got the phone 2 days after I received shipping info. It's very discouraging seeing some people have an estimated ship date of 9/24 BUT there is still hope for us!
