You know, there are many hidden community manager who have contributed to twist rationalisation into accepting the unacceptable over the years, but the worse is people like you, who are not even paid by Apple to spill out false, stupid, apologetic things like this.

I don't know of ONE single person, friend or colleague who gets enough out of the 16GB storage.

As for price, I was talking about the fact that not only is Apple evading some taxes, it's now also making every foreign customer pay for what is essentially a company tax, which is why everywhere outside of the US, yes Apple prices have augmented.
Don't buy their products.
Don't go on forums to chat with such horrible people such as myself.
Run away! So you won't be tainted!

I don't get it? Why yo

I don't get it. Why you need to dock to the alarm clock? iPhone alarm is not good enough to wake you up?

No I like waking up to podcasts and downloaded radio shows. The alarm function on the phone often doesn't start where I left off but from the beginning... I also listen to the same shows to go to sleep... I'm a creature of odd habits.

Also I would need to reprogram the alarm every day to play a new radio show. It's much easier to have the clock turn "on" and play the thing I just left off on.

I 100% agree. I think yours is one of the best posts I've read on Macrumors.
I'll tell you more:
work for me!
Ps: The more I would pay you, the more you would spend to compensate the extra money. I think a 1000€ pay would just lead to whining about why the pay is not 2000€. I'll give you 500 instead :D
Ps: just kidding ;)

All that is true. But here is the thing... that's how employment works... that's how business negotiations works. You go start a new job they want to pay you as little as possible... the difference is Apple improves on the the tech in other areas. They give us lower power usage on their processors, new ways to interact with your phone (3D Touch), fingerprint sensor, etc all in typically smaller packages than the previous year.

I know you think you're "joking" but your example is off.

It's more like this:

You can Pay me 500 the first year... but next year you pay me 500 and give me a company car. The next year you give me a new company car and a condo, Then a new company car, a new condo and a yacht... and the use of the company Jet... my own private company jet... and so on. I'd be ok with taking the 500 a year if the incentives around it increase the value.

See where I'm going with this?

I completely agree with you! And I'm not complaining about battery. I was just having a little fun with the original work-related analogy because the original post was way off in my opinion, at least the way it was first proposed. :)
("I'll give you less money because if i give you more you are still going to finish it by spending more" vs "more battery would be useless because people would use their phone more and burn it faster).
If we talk about tradeoffs between money/battery and other benefits (company jet/touch 3d) I'm in. I think 3d touch is exciting and worth the weight and even an eventual slighyly shorter battery life. I think Apple is betting on the technology and has big plans for it.

I disagree that it is "way off" if you have more battery you will use the phone more. People get more conservative with their phone when they see it is running low. Which is why I had said, ...assuming you're using your phone conservatively now when the battery power is low

Just as you tend to use more data if you have higher speed data because you've consumed the same amount of data in less time so you've moved on to consume more data rather than waiting for a web page or video to load.

I'm all for extra features and a sturdier construction but it is troubling that the iPhone 6S Plus is approaching 200g in weight... and that's before putting on a case or screen protector.

It is my firm belief that a 5.5" to 6.0" screen phablet should be no more than 175g in weight. That is the 'sweet spot', the balance between build quality and wrist burden.

I see the Sony Xperia Z5 having a fingerprint scanner on the side of the phone, perhaps Apple can consider that design for the iPhone 7, if it means slimming down the bottom bezel and losing weight.

Huh? Were will they put the battery, other tech that's under this bezel you removed... Good grief!!
The weight comes from the components, there is no magic, if you remove the bezel the phone will just get thicker by a few mm for the same functionality.

Don't care about the weight as long as j can still use my iPhone 6 plus cases. I've spent quite a bit in cases. One case I have cost me $60. So I'm just hoping it fits my future iPhone 6s plus case.

I've got the same concern. Especially concerning my magpul cases

Did I actually read the words "wrist burden"?! Give us all a break and get some excercise for your arms besides lifting your latte.

"Wrist burden" - ppphhhhtttt!

Wow, I am really surprised at these results and I'm also kinda shocked that Apple allowed the iPhone 6s & 6s+ to be heavier than last yrs model. It's no wonder why they shaved the battery, can you imagine if the battery had actually increased in size and weight and with the taptic feedback there and then the new heavier materials, it would have been a brick. LOL

Fact is they "shaved" the battery to make room for the haptics.

In reality all your statement says is:
This is bad, however, I have got used to it being bad now, so that now I don't see any reason for it to be better.

Tell me, if battery life of just 1 day is perfectly fine for you.
I expect you would feel absolutely fine if every battery operated device you own or ever bought also only lasted 1 day between charges.... yes?

Different devices have different usage requirements. But I'm sure you already knew that

is that a pie chart with various wood textures to represent various non-wood materials?

you guys tarred and feathered scott forstall and chased him out of town, and you're going to let THIS slide??
That was really the only comment I had about this article: the graphics are crap!

I'm not sure that aluminum and stainless steel are really high contrast colors, but at the very least if you want me to compare the 6 to the 6s use the same freaking chart type. This is a classic example of how to obscure information...

Lets not leave reality here. Some weight added is very good. At least you can feel the phone better. You get that feeling of something solid in your hand.

Funny how when the 5 came out everyone raved about the weight being so low, now this ;-)

What are you talking about? No other phone has 3D touch... Plus chances are the majority of people will have cases which make the change in weight of the iPhone negligible.
So? Its still bigger then all other 5.5" phones . Howx is apple not able to fit eveything in a smaller package as everyone else is able to do so?

0.5mm thinner doesnt matter to anyone but 17mm/7mm smaller does make a difference to some as they find the 5.5 too big and the 4.7 too small.

Also these are ******** numbers. In real life its nothing like it.
Yes, but this should also correlate with real-life experiences. As in, if you're getting 6-8 hours on your iPhone 6, than you should be getting at least 6.5-9 hours off of it.

Probably the craziest thing I heard about the plus in a while lol. Someone actually wants it heavier
I also want it heavier. And if they could move to a design that makes it un-necessary to put the iPhone in a big ass case, just to keep it from slipping in my hands...

I don't use cases, never had a problem with slipping.

You do realize that a heavier phone isn't going to help with your slipping issue right?
