If anything, the iPhone needed a longer or bigger battery.

I can't believe they would take their customers so much for most stupid inbred customer (which they are) that they would go ahead a put smaller battery, in a 16GB base model that still manages to cost ever more!.

Yes because every apple customer is stupid & inbred unlike yourself who's grammar is excellent I must add. Just to entertain you for a sec are you aware that even though the battery is smaller there's nothing so far to say that battery performance will be affected, I'd wager that the new phones & their processors are far more efficient negating any issues, well done though for making it as clear as day that you are a massive troll, feel free to stick around & waste your life on here...

I've never seen such hysterics like what i'm reading over this battery issue. Does anyone here actually think before yelling?

Here's a quote from:

http://www.zdnet.com/article/apple-confirms-iphone-6s6s-plus-battery-is-smaller/

"That graphic shows that the battery is a 1715 mAh unit. The battery in the current iPhone 6 is an 1810 mAh unit, which means the new battery has a little over 5 percent less capacity.

Will this 5 percent drop in capacity matter? Probably not. The chances are that it won't as its effect has been offset by power savings made through more efficient electronics and within iOS. Also, the listed battery lifetimes have not changed for the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus, so owners will still get the same number of usage hours from the new smartphones."

Please. 5% less capacity that probably won't mean anything in the real world due to a more efficient OS and electronics.

I rarely drop below 50% with my 6 Plus. Let's just say you get 12 hours of life from one charge. That's 720 minutes. 5% is 36 minutes. So now you "only" get 684 minutes or 11.4 hours, assuming that everything else stays the same between the 6 and 6s, which we know isn't true. If this is something that really bother anyone, I would argue that you wouldn't be happy with any Apple phone. Just go get a Samsung and be done with it.

These hysterics are absolutely absurd and sound like little children who just have to argue and moan and groan simply because they can.

Apple logic:
Heavier because of larger battery: Bad
Heavier because of 3D touch: Good

Actually a number of iPhone's have increased in weight and also increased in battery capacity at the same time.

iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, iPhone 4S, iPhone 5S, iPhone 6 all fit this bill.

Since when the {beep} is display, circuit board and battery a {bleeping} material. Those mined or harvested? What commodity exchange do they trade on again? {bleeper} {bloop-blooped} idiot.

I don't get it? Why yo
No because I still have to dock it on my alarm clock to wake me up. So I would still be "charging" it every night by default... You totally missed the point.
I don't get it. Why you need to dock to the alarm clock? iPhone alarm is not good enough to wake you up?

I'm all for extra features and a sturdier construction but it is troubling that the iPhone 6S Plus is approaching 200g in weight... and that's before putting on a case or screen protector.

It is my firm belief that a 5.5" to 6.0" screen phablet should be no more than 175g in weight. That is the 'sweet spot', the balance between build quality and wrist burden.

I see the Sony Xperia Z5 having a fingerprint scanner on the side of the phone, perhaps Apple can consider that design for the iPhone 7, if it means slimming down the bottom bezel and losing weight.

Battery life has not changed for years on iPhone. I don't get the constant complaining. It will last at least a day with normal use.
I love when people that are light users with their phone speak for everyone.

I would put it at well over 80% of iPhone users that never install more than 5GB of stuff on their phone. Even including the selfies.

And the price (I assume you mean) has remained constant for at least 6 generations.

But I'm sorry, I've interrupted your rant.

The good news is the 6/6+ are now $100 cheaper, will still be lighter, and should have more battery time if you upgrade to iOS 9, if it is truly more efficient.

Sounds like a win-win for some in this thread.

You know, there are many hidden community manager who have contributed to twist rationalisation into accepting the unacceptable over the years, but the worse is people like you, who are not even paid by Apple to spill out false, stupid, apologetic things like this.

I don't know of ONE single person, friend or colleague who gets enough out of the 16GB storage.

As for price, I was talking about the fact that not only is Apple evading some taxes, it's now also making every foreign customer pay for what is essentially a company tax, which is why everywhere outside of the US, yes Apple prices have augmented.

I love it when people do not read posts properly then make assumptions on their meaning...
I read it fine. You said the phone lasts at least a day with normal use. The only time it lasts that long is with light use. Also, the fact that it's been the same for years is exactly why people are complaining.

Well you don't know me personally but my 16gb iPhone is enough for me & I'll be getting another 16gb 6s, thankfully we are all different & get different usage out of our products...

The iPhone 6 weighs 129 grams, while the iPhone 6s weighs 143 grams.

Where are you getting 2.5x more?

The 6s weighs 2.5 times more then the 6? You sure about that?...

I think you are looking at the display weights, which is where the size difference is. The entire device is marginally heavier

Personally I am fine with it - people are saying they should have increased the battery size. Ignoring all the technical hurdles with just making a battery bigger, it wouldn't even double the size, it wouldn't even be 1.5x the size (29 grams to 40g) So you would get a day and a quarter and people would complain about Apple not doing anything innovative (Though apparently 3d touch is not innovative, at least until it is on the Galaxy S7 in a few months)

I think you might've read wrong -- the 6S DISPLAY weighs a lot more than the 6 display, but the overall phone is just 11% heavier.

2.5 x almost nothing = nothing. Nothing to see here about weightgate.

Oops, you guys are correct. My mistake. Thanks for pointing that out :)
