Not a big deal here, not a big deal there and suddenly you look around all you see is not a big deal everywhere. I'm not going to accept this. Ever.

I think you need to learn what "a big deal" means before throwing it around all over the place, if it is indeed a "big deal" to you then I suggest you purchase another phone which suits your needs better.......plus you have my condolences :(

Can you guys stick with one style of pie chart please?! It's easier to compare the laminate flooring one.
The old materials were skeumorphic, the new materials are now flat. :)

Anyway, if i don't charge my phone (5S) it will usually die on late second or the third day after charging. If a phone dies on you after a day, 25% more battery won't help you much other than you have to get up in the middle of the night to put it in the charger. Personally however I wouldn't mind if the phone was twice the size (the 6 and 6+) because I think it is flimsy and that would probably add over 100% more battery capacity as well.

Canceled my pre-order. This is bull ****. How do you make a phone HEAVIER in today's' world. UNACCEPTABLE PEOPLE.

The iPhone 6 is heavy enough. I don't need to add MORE weight to an already heavy work flow.

The iPhone 7 better be 50% lighter or I will NEVER buy another Apple product AGAIN!

What's next? a 2lb Apple Watch? C'mon!

I hope in the future Apple makes an iPhone with a week or even a month battery life just to shot the hell up the people who are to lazy to charge their phones when they go to bed or the ones who live in Serengeti.

I don't want to carry a 50lb iPhone to have a month battery.

I just want a full 20-24 hours of battery life with using it most of the day. I do a lot on my iPhone for work - MS Ex puts a lot of activity between mail/calendar and lync is active. Location services eat up battery too but its nice having it when traveling and getting alerts.

So yea, a full 20-24 hours would be spectacular.

Tell me, if battery life of just 1 day is perfectly fine for you.
I expect you would feel absolutely fine if every battery operated device you own or ever bought also only lasted 1 day between charges.... yes?

I don't see us getting to two days anytime soon, and whether it's 1 day or 1,2 days doesn't really matter. So it actually is perfectly fine for at least a few years.

Well, if you look at the actual numbers, the iPhone 6s weighs about 2.5x more than the iPhone 6. While it may be light, that's still a pretty big difference.

2.5 x almost nothing = nothing. Nothing to see here about weightgate.

Thicker and Heavier........Wait for it....

Weight Gate!

Kidding aside, a heavier product is easier to control in one's hand. Up to a point.

Drama much? Lol

You didn't read any of the specs before pre-ordering? Nor did you see any of the previous threads about the increased weight? This is the first time you have heard of this and now you're canceling your pre-order because of it? Lol. I love to be entertained.

Please continue! :D

Factor in an Otterbox and you've got yourself a nifty self-defense tool.
Bam! Bam! Bam, Bam, Bam!!!

The Otter Box Defender certainly increases the weight of my iPhone 5.
Am curious to see what my 6S+ will weigh with an Otter Box Commuter on it.

I was hoping he/she was being sarcastic...

If anything, the iPhone needed a longer or bigger battery.

I can't believe they would take their customers so much for most stupid inbred customer (which they are) that they would go ahead a put smaller battery, in a 16GB base model that still manages to cost ever more!.

In reality all your statement says is:
This is bad, however, I have got used to it being bad now, so that now I don't see any reason for it to be better.

This is the worst analogy I've ever heard. Name another device that you use even half as much as your phone these days? Yes, I would be totally fine having to spend two seconds each night to recharge any device that I use for a phone, email, internet, music, other entertainment, work, video-calling, ordering lunch, buying concert tickets, navigating to a new customer's office, operating my lights when I get home, as a camera, calculator, and potentially hundreds of thousands of other things.

Not charging your phone everyday is a big deal too.
It was in 2006 when phone only made calls and sent texts. Here in the future we suffer with putting a cable in a hole once a night before we go to bed. Oh how I long for simpler times. Take me back to the good 'ol days. Where's my Blackberry 6750? I don't need no color screens, just longer battery life.

It really depends on how you've got it set up. What apps you're using, what's active in the background, your screen brightness (this is a big one) etc.

On average it translates to around a day of normal-heavy use on iPhone 6, and 2 days on iPhone 6+. I've very rarely seen 0% on my previous iDevices since I charge every night anyway. It's not as they have to be anywhere or do anything while I'm sleeping.

I think the problen lies with people that have thier phones surgically attached. You see them everywhere. Can't possibly live without talking on, browsing on, or watch something on thier phones evey freakin' waking minute.

They're more addicted to thier phones than they are to Starbucks or Dunkin' Donuts coffee! Criminy, just try food shopping, they've got a coffee in one hand, thier phone in the other and are driving the carriage with thier elbows!

'tis sadly true.

I know I shouldn't dictate how people use their tech and I won't, but I do believe that most complaints about battery life aren't actually anything to do with poor battery life (like we hear everywhere).

I believe it's more a case of overuse of the device itself - excluding business users, of course. That's a justified cause.

If 3D touch is a great UI improvement, then no big deal on the weight. It is a change in direction though, as usually thinner/lighter is an aim for Apple.

Imagine if Samsung made the S6 heavier than the S5. People here would be laughing at Samsung for "a heavier phone in 2015? Come on!" Just something to think about...

It's not the first time Apple has had to take a step backward when adding a feature. The iPad 3 got noticeably thicker, heavier, and hotter when it added the Retina display. A few years later with the Air 2 it's just a fleeting memory.
