That post was actually very serious. Any "snark" was directed at a certain "3D touch hater" (see earlier posts in this thread)

The iPhone 5's 4" screen may not be a big "innovation" but a lot of work goes into designing a new screen/body, just like the work it took to make the 3D touch screen that someone was trying to pass off as a throw away gimmick.
I actually appreciated the 4" display introduction ....

Really - this is the biggest upgrade outside of just changing the casing in a long time (definitely since iphone 4)
However, if you are not getting it thru an early upgrade program (read free) - going from 6 to 6s may not make much sense.

Since I am on AT&T Next - to me there is no downside - I will upgrade every year.

Well, you are paying $300 to $400 for the privilege of upgrading every year, depending on what model you get and how much you can pawn last year's model for. If you're OK with that cost, then good for you.

What plan are talking about? do you mean the fact that we have turn over the phone to the carrier for the upgrade?
My out of "pocket costs" were hand in my i6 + pay sales tax = iphone 6s+ in my hands.
To me that was a fair trade.

Next year - rinse and repeat - hand over my 6sPlus + pay sales sales = Iphone7 in my hands.

No it's not.
A camera shouldn't have an high resolution display. I'm going to review 4K videos on a 4K tv.

So, according to you it's ok to sell a device with a feature that cannot be taken advantage of out of the box on the same device? This type of marketing should not be allowed.

4K videos seen on a 5" screen are ridiculous....
You know you are saying something totally wrong, but you keep repeating because you are trolling the thread on a very subtle way.
Reported several times...

Im not trolling, I am staying on the subject matter. Im just using common sense instead of marketing terms.

You come across as cranky. Your insistance that 3d touch is simply marketing overlooks the fact that it is a hardware based innovation. Your belief that it is redundant is not based in your use experience (iPhone 6). Complaining that people are too lazy to do it the way it has been done in the past is ridiculous. You are carrying a phone around in your pocket. If you weren't so lazy yourself you would walk into the room where the phone is wired to the wall and call from there. I think that last satement of mine is equally ridiculous.

If you are not trolling people will continue to try to figure out your motivation for being so forceful in your opinions of the 6s. It doesn't quite make sense. Someone else thought you were feeling badly about having last years phone....

LOL. It's basically the Apple watch hardware on a larger device with more functions. The fact is if people need basically a context menu for shortcuts on their phone, they should not have an iPhone as its simple enough already. It's akin to a right click on a mouse.

Please remember how this member describes the iPhone:

Why would I want to play games on an iPhone for - it's a phone and use it for sms and photos, not gaming.

So his views on new technology should be observed knowing that.

:rolleyes:I will explain this one last time:

There is a HUGE difference between "I don't play games on my iPhone" and "The iPhone is not for gaming"

I also do not play games on my iPhone, I don't play games on a console or computer either. I would never say others should not play games on any of those platforms. Why would I? Why limit what a "gamer" is?

No one said you should play games on your iPhone. I am not saying that anyone should.

Someone gave you an excellent example of how 3D touch can be a feature beyond a simple shortcut into an app's functions, they said it can be used for games which led you to that wonderful quote. You missed the fact that it could also be used for other things, perhaps something that even you like? You seem like to limit what technology can be used for and I think that is pretty close minded. Or you are just "trolling" for an argument.

Tu capisci?
