how is displaymate using opinions when they are using industry standard calibration hardware and software to test the screen? they are putting sensors on the screen on there testings.thdy are not just looking at it and saying yup this screen is the best calibrated screen ever tested they are backing it with industry standard calibration equipment.

Already covered in the above post:

"I'm not contesting Displaymate's measurements and conclusion that the Amoled screen on the note7 has SUPERIOR quality a like colour gamut, infinite blacks, etc.
However, their lack of reporting and focus on some of the (important) negatives is not doing anyone justice.
I know that many would say that the (1)flicker and (2)pixel miss-registration and (3)burn-in: is not noticeable, and minimal and "who cares"... But to some, it is important consideration like people with (1)chronic migraines, (2)perfect perfectionist's near-sighted vision, and (3)loves to play SteetFighter for hours at a time... Let me guess, those ppl don't matter because they are freaks and a small minority.

It is like buying an investment property in Hawaii. My Realtor gets the info from the Seller and sends you pics of the spectacular view, great the beautiful furnishings, perfect floor plan, great workmanship, good location ... And Great Deal! Take my $$$!!
ALL the positives,
The smart buyer would ask the right questions. And research the "too good to be true" details.>>> just to fly there and find that the back of the property is the City's Power Grid Hub. Can you tell yourself "no biggy, I just won't look out the back and pay no attention to the constant BUZZ noise"... Oops
Too good to be true.
Point is, some people's criteria and priorities are different for a home or a phone. We are all different, yes, so we as educated, smart consumers need to do due diligence and research. We count on the professionals (like your Realtor that is suppose to have your best interests in mind...) and their reviews to be both accurate and precise. Forgetting to state that the back of the property is the City Power Grid is not accurate, not precise and plain irresponsible..Same as not mentioning the important negatives of Amoled and then concluding that it is "best screen" -bs."

And for what is the "flickering and subpixel misregistration", pls refer to previous page.

The s7 already lost the video war to the 6s and now loses the camera war. Everything else is typical hyperbole let's compare the spec sheet and the longer one wins. the ad-homs make the post much more credible when you label a group of people. Conclusion is an opinion stated as fact. Carry on.

I hope you enjoyed that rigged test. That test is so laughable that the iPhone 7 was actually ahead of the iPhone 7 Plus in their own comparison at a point of time

and now loses the camera war.
The vast majority of the population disagree with you

This was a cross OS site test and the Samsung Galxy S7 destroyed the competition with 39% commanding lead

Of course it's rigged, the galaxy was destroyed in that test. Ergo it must be rigged.

No hyperbole in "vast majority".

Can you explain why the iPhone 7 Plus was trailing the iPhone 7 at one point in their test despite having more RAM

RAM does not make a phone faster in a situation where RAM is not the bottleneck. Particularly where, all else being equal (CPU and GPU) an identical SOC has to drive a larger screen.
