Mine doesn't sound too bad playing that song. But I do hear it in others.

after playing the song on my 6s plus i played it on 6 plus and had the exact same sound coming out. i bought another 6s plus over the weekend and it has the same problem :/

Makes me think it's probably software related or something is vibrating inside (iPad AIR 2 has this issue). It's probably not blown.

Mine crackles when I get a notification on the Microsoft Outlook app and volume maxed. Also noticed yesterday while using Google Maps, and in settings for the app, guidance volume level raised to Louder, it would crackle.

It's present in all 3 betas of 9.2 still. So if anyone is testing 9.2 make sure to report it.

I have this issue as well. I've got a silver 6s (Week 41, 16GB) and am now just noticing this. Since the beginning the speaker hasn't sounded as loud or as rich as my 5's speaker did, but lots of people have said that, too. So that's nothing new. I get a slight crackling when I send/receive a text. Also, the default opening ringtone has some distortion/crackling to it. Most music played is just fine, even when played at full volume and held up to my ear. I can't detect anything. But apps like the xfinity TV app and some stuff played on the YouTube app doesn't sound too good. I have a cosmetically perfect phone with the TSMC chip and really don't wanna swap it out, but I doubt I'll have to as this seems more like a software issue than anything else. Hopefully iOS 9.2 will address this.

On my iPhone 6s, when I am typing I don't have the key click sound. It is like a skip. I touch a button but no sound, just a crackle. Not all the time though. Online Apple tech told me it was hardware. Any opinions?

So have you gotten it replaced? My keyboard clicks work just fine, as does my iTunes music. Some apps just sound crappy and I get a crackle/distortion when either I send/receive a text or the opening (default) ringtone is played at max or near max volume. Do you have trouble playing songs you've downloaded or when your phone rings? Logic tells me that if it's only happening in specific instances it isn't a blown speaker, but a software issue. Some users over at the Apple forums have reported going through five or six replacement 6s's and still have the same issue. I'm not about to do that.

A few people have reported that downloading and installing the new iOS 9.2 (version 3) beta resolved this issue. Can anyone confirm before I install it?

8th forum, im replying about iphone issues,
yes i also have blown loud speaker,
im from iphone 6, still i also have 6 still no issue,
iphone 6s is big example of design flaw,
im not here to spam, but i shared my story and if you check forum of iphone you would see,
im just getting 6th iphone 6s, 6th one apple is sending me sealed from factory after testing.
5th phone im using, i replaced all because of DUST issue,
but the 5th i got have MANY ISSUES and i tell you what i found and realized,
i have bad blown speaker,
have dead pixel
have dust and increasing day by day
loose home button
shady screen
brighter corners.
and dust im getting everyday, so this is Design issue right?

Same problem here... sound quality of my new iP6s is terrible.. try to play for example

at higher volume and its cracking a lot.. my old 4S play it just fine.. also other videos on youtube sound much worse. I cannot have the ringtone and alarms with to much volume, because the cracking and distortion irritates me.. I will check at local apple shop others.. but i thing it will be same on all, as I read also on other apple forums...
