Completely untrue. Laboratory testing by DisplayMate states the note 5 has, "the best absolute color accuracy of any mobile display that we have ever tested". I'll link the entire thread below where you can read about OLED trouncing LCD in essentially every category including contrast, efficiency, adaptability, and color accuracy.

Good to see they've fixed the color issues with their displays. The last Samsung OLED I viewed had way over saturated colors.

Question is - why have they booked such a big venue? Will there be some thing else being announced? Or just allowing more people to attend?

Why not the tock?

I simply consider the 4, 5 and 6 to be tocks in terms of bringing a substantial difference to each generation (exterior and interior hardware). My usage of tock is just illustrate a more prominent difference, instead of tick, which I consider to be minor/refinements in a sense? Does that make sense?

iPhone: (irrelevant, as there was no "iPhone s", therefore no tick/tock)

iPhone 3G: tick
iPhone 3GS: tock

iPhone 4: tick
iPhone 4s: tock

iPhone 5: tick
iPhone 5s: tock

iPhone 6: tick
"iPhone 6s/6s+": TOCK

What? I'm not sure what point you're trying to make, but the quote above should give you an idea of what I was trying to say. There's no actual tick-tock here, I'm just using Intels model to illustrate the way iPhones have developed over the years.

1: I deleted all the German names off my phone.

2: Why??

3: It's Hans Free now.

Sorry, O/T I know, but it was getting a little dull in here! :D

I was going to go to Glastonbury this year, but I heard it was a little in-tents...

Getting dull, he says... :D

The A9 is as incremental to the A8 as the 488 GTB is to the Mustang. :apple:

Not sure how you figure. There's very little data on the A9 aside from some unconfirmed leaked GeekBench scores which put it somewhere around ~25% faster than the A8. Which is completely par for the course in cyclical upgrades.

Apple's SOC chips are all fantastic... but moving from the A8 to the A9 is like going from the 458 to the 488 GTB.

Oh great. That means they can reduce the battery capacity to provide the "same great battery life as iPhone 6" :-(
Not for the 6s - I think since it is the same casing - I bet Apple will quote 2-3 more hours of talk time.

The dander is next year when they try make it thinner

I want color accuracy, sunlight usability, display longevity without color shifts, and REAL pixels, not Pentile-style cheats that leave a fine checkerboard over everything. Until I've heard of all those OLED problems being sufficiently solved, I want Apple to stick with really top-end LCD and LED backlights and not cut corners Samsung-style.

Not sure what corners Samsung is cutting here... but their OLED's have been the most color-accurate displays on the market since the S4 by a wide margin, even when using the pentile arrangement. And the only things that beat them seem to be themselves, when you change each color pre-set to Movie Mode...

I'd be more worried about burn-in issues with the simple grid layout Apple uses for their OS, whereas Android still has the app tray to at least refresh where things always sit.

What kind of issues have you had with it? I still have a 5s.

Having issues with the slider when receiving a phone call, the phone freezes up, when I'm texting people that have iPhones it's sends their massages to unknown sender, when someone text me color should be blue or gray but is green. And the list just goes on!!

The 4 already had 512MB of RAM before the 4S (the original iPad with A4 too had only 256MB, though).
And it's the iPhone 5 that gave access to 4G/LTE networks, the 4S only offered access to HSPA+.
Could be added the antenna's tweak/fix in your list for the 4S. And Siri was arguably artificially limited to the brand new 4S, but in effect should be seen as a listed new feature maybe.
My bad on the 512 ram
But 4g was never clearly defined. For example, when I had a 4S, the reception bar showed that it had a '4G reception'
When I got a 5C, it then showed LTE.it seems some carriers define 4G as HSPA+, and LTE...as LTE

Why reinvent the wheel. Samsung has mastered OLED and has shown that it's the top display tech going on 2 years. I guarantee that iPhone 6s will not touch the S6/Note 5 displays. The only thing the iPhone may have is a brighter overall display but the Samsung offerings do very good in direct sunlight.
When you see black on OLED it's black. And the display is very good when used in VR applications. I really can't think of a negative when it comes to OLED other than Apple is not using it.

Apple's choice to not use OLED is one that is a combination of marketing, engineering and supply chain management. I wouldn't presume to know their precise product path, nor did I claim the 6S display was going to be anything specific in terms of technology.

I was stoked for the 6+ this time last year, even got up at 3am on holiday in Jamaica to order it!

However, I struggled with it size wise and returned it for a 6.

I think the issue was that (for me) it was just too much of a leap size wise, from my 5S and couple that with the limited cases on sale at the time (I had a chunky Spigen).

However, If I'm honest, I've missed it and I think I'm going to get myself a 6S+ in September.

I can understand it being to big. However I got use to it before I even left the Apple Store it just felt right.

Why do you say that? I think it is...

He heard someone say it 5 years ago and thinks it still applies... my guess. People have already posted the displaymate articles showing they're the most accurate displays though, so nothing you can do if they don't want to accept scientific evidence.

Apple don't do gears; show me ONE product where they've had a cogwheel in the middle of the screen to signify something...

Lumia, yes; Android, yes. Apple? NOPE.

I call FAKE. Even if this is pre-production firmware, they're not going to put a cogwheel in it, as that's now how Apple do things.

People need to wake up and become cognisant of fakes.

You guys think iPhone 6 covers will fit the new 6S given that supposedly its a tad thicker? I have a lifeproof cover I've only had for 4 months and i dnt want to give it up, but i kinda want to upgrade lol

You'll just need to be patient for some confirmed real world tests. I'd also agree with your 458 to 488 comparison. As the 488 GTB is superior to the 458 in every way. :apple:
