Covering my face with dismay at all the tedious, overly obvious attempts at cheap laughs based upon sexual inuendo. Seriously, this is ALL people can do to raise up-votes?

I am so not buying an iPhone bigger than the 5
I would still rather get the 5S at this stage. Don't like big phones.

Apple might surprise us someday with another 4" phone with flagship guts. If they don't... the iPhone 5S will be the last iPhone you'll ever own.

Bad news though... I can't recall anyone making a new 4" flagship-level phone. You have to dip down to "cheap" to find that screen size anymore.

But hell... even Motorola's budget $179 Moto G has grown to 5" now.

You might be outta luck.

That's kinda disheartening. I don't know why "better" has to exclusively equal "bigger".

I'm very surprised by the amount of people who want to stay at a small phone size. Half, if not more, of iPhone owners I personally know have said that they don't want a bigger phone. Coincidentally, they all currently own a 5S. I think Apple, and everyone else for that matter, needs to offer a flagship "smaller" phone.

This is a huge deal, no matter what anyone says. It's a step in the wrong direction. The 6s is supposed to be better.. but it's not better in every way.

Bad, bad news. Apple can and should do better. The next gen should be better in EVERY way.

I'm sorry but increasing the size ever so slightly is not a big deal at all

.2MM = .0078 inches

You can tell the difference with a caliper too! (They used that in the article.)

Correct.

But my point was... why not make it a lot bigger and put a lot of battery in it?

Instead... we get slightly thicker to accommodate the new aluminum and supposed Force Touch... yet no increase in battery.

I say again... I'd love to see an iPhone Maxx edition. Sadly... Apple likes anorexic models.

It does make you wonder exactly how far apple are willing to go with "thinness". I can see a phone as thin as a razorblade ... "who cares if it slices your fingers off and you can't hold it. It's the thinnest phone in the world and made to exacting standards and meticulously crafted"

0.2 mm thicker? Apple is really slipping of late. Jobs would never have allowed this.
Yeah. Jobs would never allow this. The iPhone 3G also wasn't 0.7mm thicker than the iPhone 2G.

Actually, it isn't the first time that Apple has made ine of their devices slightly thicker. The iPad 4 as slightly thicker than iPad 3 with Retina display. This isn't something new.

"The new iPhone design is deeply embedded in our DNA, and now it can be imbedded in yours - literally"

In a few years the trend will go back to wanting 5" phones - why can't apple just make a 5" and then the 6 and 6+ sizes all with on par specs?

0.2mm thicker. It takes micrometer to tell the difference.

Too bad they won't make phones 1.0mm thicker and fill that space with extra battery.

I'd love an iPhone Maxx

People have always said things like "just add an extra millimetre so you can fit a bigger battery in". What they're forgetting is the phone is only 6.9mm big anyway. 1mm is 15% fatter, and given an even/uniform weight distribution, it would also make the phone 15% heavier too putting the iPhone 6 at 148g (which would be the heaviest iPhone ever) and the 6+ at almost 200g. No thanks!

If these pictures are real then I'm still holding out for my next iPhone upgrade. Ugly antenna separator lines! I hope they fixe that in time for iPhone 7.
