....some customers who pre-ordered have already begun having their cards charged and are seeing their order statuses shift from "Processing" to "Preparing for shipment." Earlier this week, order status changes were limited to customers outside of the U.S., but in the last day, even customers in the United States have begun seeing some movement.

Agreed, but the pic of the two phones in the warehouse is obviously under harsh lighting. So comparing the OCD-level of shot prep involved in Apple's photos to someone shooting with their smart phone is kind of Apples to Oranges.
Plus, I'd be mad as hell if someone opened up -my- property.
That's exactly how it is with the real yellow gold and rose gold on the AW Edition. Pretty subtle from each other.
Makes me wonder if Apple deliberately made it more pink in order to widen this color discrimination.
well, just one of those golds in black would be welcome, is the point...

Absolutely gorgeous. Would be an insta-buy for me. This what I thought rose gold would be; a more copperish look(You know, like actual rose gold), not pink. The black front with the matching rose gold touch-id ring is a beautiful touch.

There are so many white iPhones! I want a deep blue or Product Red model with a black front.
Now imagine if the light colored bands on the back were black. That would look incredible.
I don't think the color in these pics is a good representation of what it actually looks like since whoever took these images used a potato.
When you get it, just take it to the carrier store. They can work something out if they have it in stock..I currently own a iPhone 6 in space grey and pre-ordered the iPhone 6s plus 128gb in silver. I didn't realize the front would be white. Now I wish I had pre-ordered the space grey. Anyone wanna trade?
I'd also like a silver phone back with a black face. I think that would be PIMP. Would match my Stainless Steel AW! Any of the colors with a black face would be nice too, but I'm particular to the silver and black myself.
