iPhone 6s turning off at 10-20%

There is anyone who have changed the iphone whith a newone whith samsung chip ??
The same problem started after iOS 10.0.x update with my 6S. Apple phone assistance ran a distant diagnostic and found no issues, asked me to send it in or go to a agreed service provider to see if there is any hardware issue. The non-Apple guys found nothing wrong with the phone and returned it after a DFU. Needless to say the problem persisted. I got an appointment at an Apple Store and they replaced the phone without even running a diagnostic in the store.
The new one has a samsung chip and it's working fine since.

I will add that I have not had any more shutdowns either since my 6s was swapped out for a white-box replacement a couple weeks ago. It was like pulling teeth to get them to swap it out, but the new one has been perfect.

I'm curious to hear what Apple will say officially about this problem.
I wasn't going to go to the Genius Bar and give them an opportunity to say no to a repair or exchange, hence I spoke twice to Apple Support via chat and once via the telephone. All the notes were on the case number which the genius could see. It was noted that I restored and set up as new twice and even tried 10.2 beta to see if the issue was solved. The genius didn't really have anything new to suggest on the back of this since all the steps were taken by me already. Maybe that's why the swap was so quick for me. Be prepared like this before you go and they really have no choice but to swap it out for a replacement. I was not about to walk away with 'try a fresh restore and come back in a week if it continues' advice. Good luck to everyone.

Here's the repair summary for those interested. I don't show the rest since it contains my old and new serials and IMEI

It's funny the old one that was shutting down was a Samsung and the new one is TSMC in my case. Since there are reports of the issue from owners of both manufacturers, it's probably not this factor that causes the issue.

Now, seriously, are we talking about replacements? why not a software issue? Why did it start after the upgrade to iOS 10? There many many people with the same problem. Either we are talking about a replacement Program, or a serious update (not these idiot smileys...)

I'm starting to think that my VPN ad blocker might be the cause (like Adblock). Does any of you have it installed?

The only working solution right now is a replacement. i.e. Apple still has no clue how to solve the problem.
This thing exists since 2012 and Apple has not fixed it yet. IMO, it's more prevalent this time either because there are much more iPhones in use, or because the new power management has much more incompatibilities with older hardware.

I have installed Adguard Pro and I'm using VPN. I was thinking same as You that adblocker is the reason of faster discharge of battery.

Mine died now at 7% remaining...
What do you think, should I wait for an explanation from Apple, or just to go and get it replaced..?
I am having hard time to decide, because I certainly don't want to deal with uneven screens, dead pixels on a refurbished unit..

I am convinced this is a software issue. My 6 was perfectly fine since purchase. I have a hard time thinking it's hardware but perhaps it's a iOS/Chipset conflict.

Sounds to me like you mean firmware. But even if it is so, I am not sure it is possible to update all firmware at home.

It could very well be hardware. I've had random shutdown on my 6, restoration, draining batteries and all other tricks didn't help. Went to Apple and got the battery replaced.! Working like a champ since.

Actually, Low Battery Mode fix the problem for me. More than 4 cycles of battery without shutdowns.

Just happened at 68%. Phone was in my outside coat pocket and quite cold to the touch.

It's now warmed up and working again but took about 20 mins to stop shutting down each time I rebooted it.

Mine just turned off a 24%. Wouldn't come back on until I plugged it in.

This morning my 6s had 100% battery when I left home, was using it to chat on Whatsapp during my commute. It did shut down twice once at 40% then at 20%. By the time I got to the office, 40 minutes later, the battery was 10%.

Sadly, my phone is just not reliable anymore. It all happened with a fairly cold temperature.

my 1 year old 6s ramdomly shuts down at 2x%, so i replaced the battery. now it reboots 3-4 times at 36%, then i can keep using it until it drops to 10% and it randomly shuts down...
