Just goes from bad to worse. And I wish those lucky bastards who got their phones would shut up. I don't want to hear that.

I don't know what the hell is wrong with my brain today my earlier guess was based on the typhoon delay from last week, my wife's phone was in on that and it was late late late getting in to Kentucky and still got here these are starting their journey way earlier than those did
Doubtful. A direct flight from Hong Kong (same large general area as Korea) to Kentucky is about 18 hours...but the flight goes to Alaska first. If it's not on your way to your local hub by 1am tomorrow you ain't getting it tomorrow.
Mine had a delivery date of Wednesday and I woke up to an email from UPS saying it's rescheduled for today by end of day and then a text showing the same. Now the UPS app says "due to operating conditions your package may be delayed. / Your delivery has been rescheduled for the next business day." I guess I was expecting tomorrow anyway but it got to Louisville at 1:45AM so it had plenty of time to catch the early flight to Denver this morning.
What is 18 hours from now? Hint: CST says 1:17am. That means unless your hub is the main one in Kentucky you are not getting it tomorrow.Did you factor in the time difference?
typhoon delayed phone left kentucky at 5am and got to the nearest sort facility at 6am and left there at 7am and still was delivered that day, pretty amazing they pulled that off tbh.
I understand that...but Korea to Alaska, and then Alaska to Kentucky is over 24 hours.
EDIT: I was looking at wrong estimated times when I should have been looking at old flight paths by UPS... The next UPS flight to leave Korea leaves in 45 minutes (UPS99) and gets to Alaska in 8 hours. The flight after that leaves to Kentucky where it arrives 11:48pm CST tonight.
IF this is the flight, there is a small chance some of these phones will hit peoples doorsteps by 11am...but man is it close.

Nope, mine did that yesterday in less. But once it got to KY it got delayed due to "operating conditions"
Adding in Alaska makes almost no difference in travel time. If you look at the Great Circle maps, Anchorage is on the way from Korea to Kentucky -- in fact, that is exactly the reason why Anchorage is a UPS hub.

The total time from leaving the asian hub it passes through (Korea, Shenzen, Hong Kong, Tokyo, etc), and Anchorage, on it's way to Kentucky is somewhere around 15-16 hours.
Kentucky is UPS's worldport, and they the vast majority of their inbound flights come in around 11PM-1AM, and their outbound flights after sorting continue throughout the night.
The question of wether or not you will have it tomorrow will answered soon... UPS's flights from Asia are just starting to take off, and in the next 2 hours if your plane is recorded as leaving a UPS hub in asia that is known to have a direct flight to Anchorage, with a timestamp that matches flightaware, you will have it tomorrow, barring some very bad luck.

Well I had kind of just figured some of that out but the bad thing is the last flight today to Houston is around 5:05pm from Kentucky, so there is definitely no phone for me tomorrow.

I just realized that as well. I was told yesterday it was awaiting customs clearance so maybe that is the timestamp that it cleared it finally. But I have no idea why it would take that long to clear customs, seems like a major manufacturer and a large international shipper would have that figured out. And I certainly understand about the typhoon stuff over there, but when natural disasters occur I've seen where UPS actually puts a message up that something happened and the package is delayed because of it, this just appears to be customs.

I think we better hope our phones are on UPS99 taking off in 25 min. The boys in Korea would have had to hussle to get it on that assuming the updates are fairly real time.
