Well, I got this back from UPS, looks like a call to Apple today after work is in order.

Just talked with an Apple shipment rep at UPS. She said that those that arrived in Korea are either not scanned or were not cleared by Korean customs for some reason. According to her, if they arrived in Korea this morning, then they were scheduled to leave the same day (today).

Mine shows a departure scan from Incheon at 10:34pm.

Some who had an arrival scan in Korea this morning, do not show a departure scan. So it's possible that those were not scanned, or Korean customs did not allow them to go through.

That sucks. Sounds like the same crap that happened in China. Why all the repeated trips thru customs?

This is so ridiculous. The amount of information available makes me so frustrated..but I can't help but continue to check tracking every hour. Still no departure scan from ZhengZhou.

Why would anyone hold iPhones at customs? ZhengZhou is one of the fastest growing cargo airports in the world, entirely due to Apple/FoxConn. Why would any Customs group want to risk losing that cargo? Especially S. Korea, because UPS could very easily route around Incheon and use Tokyo instead.

In July Apple celebrated their 1 billionth iPhone. 1 billion and they can't get these things through customs? Just seems like somewhere between phone 1 and phone 1 billion they could have gotten the kinks ironed out.

I would think niche in must be faster and less congested than any Japan airport in the main island

Doesn't make sense to me either. Basically she said that if there wasn't enough space on the plane from Korea to Alaska, they would not have left China in the first place. So those are the two reasons she gave me. I was on the phone with her for about 30 min, and she spoke with multiple people trying to figure out what was going on. So I don't think she was trying to give me an answer to get me off the phone. It sounded like she was really trying to help.

So yeah there's not a chance I'll get my phone tomorrow. It will be Thursday. It's landing right now in Alaska. Then to KY, then to atl, then I think it has to go to the local hub in Gainesville, Ga.

After a delay mine is now on UPS 2970 headed to Portlandia! Woot!!!
Yeah, mine is landing in Denver within the hour. I thought maybe I could change it to pick up at the local hub since it is open until 9:00 tonight, but I chatted UPS and they said even if it lands at your local hub today you can't pick it up.

hey! Do you have any news regarding the process?
No, and can't seem to get through to Apple right now. My husbands phone tracking updated and has departed Korea but still no delivery date. Mine however, still says delivery rescheduled and is in China.
