Yes it very disappointing... I'm completely upset with Apple! If they didn't have the phones in stock or ready don't sell them yet. The could of easily said Jet Black alavible in October if they didn't have the iPhones ready. This kinda stuff that Apple has done makes me rather want to get a "Non explosive" Galaxy Note 7 version and call it a day!

I agree, same with Matte black in the Plus in the larger 2 capacities. Why allow people to preorder without some disclaimer like "will not be available until after launch) if you had none! The whole point of a 12PST3am EST is to PRE-ORDER a phone to get is the 16th. Regardless of the estimated dates, those have been proven in the past to be WAY overestimated and not reliable to begin with.

It is just frustrating and borderline false advertising if they had zero for launch.

I'm still looking for someone to tell me the weight that their UPS screen shows for a single 7+. I have a package coming into my town (via search tip earlier in thread) that shows 1.9lbs. I ordered 2 7+'s, so I'm wondering if that is a single or a double order assuming they ship in one box.

It's 2 lbs / 0.91 kgs for one iPhone 7plus

I'm beginning to wonder if the unimaginable is true that that one person said yesterday... that they heard/read that the JetBlack Plusses were NEVER gonna be available for launch day.. They're not even finished manufacturing til early October.

I have 1-128GB JB Plus that has a scanned IEMI number on my account, I thought I had 2-256 +'s but those are black. I pre-ordered 25 phones, all of the 7's that have shipped so far have captured IEMI numbers under the device name. I haven't got tracking yet for these 3 but a scanned IEMI means there is physical product assigned to the order.

Who doesn't like more revenue? Have you looked up/know the term of a PREORDER? You pre pay for something that will be released on later day. Granted you only bought and they are not any laws to give it to you first. It's givens as order based and first come first serve. There will be more orders then the stock( which is completely normal) not sure why your getting your pants wet for.

Well much to my surprise my Matte Black 128gb order at 3:23am that was scheduled for Sept 23-27 has shipped. Due by 9/16 at 3:00 via FedEx. Glad to see they are shipping early!!!

I ordered the same phone and got my confirmation email before 3am and now it's back ordered. I hate AT&T!!!

Let's not get carried away. It is of course frustrating because no one imagined that Apple would have zero stock of one of the models, apparently the most popular model, for lunch they release. And that knowledge certainly would have affected peoples ordering choices.

But some stayed up to 3AM (Eastern)!! On a Thursday work night when Apple usually does Fri-Sat 3am. On the PROMISE to pre-order for launch day delivery. I didnt see any * in Apple's presentation any color/capacity combo would no be available at launch, did you?

And they had ZERO for launch in Plus JB and none above 32gb in matter black?!?

FWIW: Order placed 09/09 at 2:53am CST for 128gb matte black 7plus. It has been "preparing to ship" since that day. It still shows that on the Order Management portal (www.att.com/checkmyorder) but when I use the text code (*6737#), it messages back saying backorder (for about 8 hours now). So I am getting 2 statuses depending on where I look.

I do remember last year, it shipped Thursday 09/24 at 08:00 am before launch and I got it on launch day, so there is still time. Last year I ordered 9/12 with expected shipping of 10/16-10/23 2015.
