Carrier iPhone 7/7+ AT&T Pre-Order Thread

I'm still optimistic. Hope it arrives tomorrow because I have Fridays off & that would be the easiest for me. Also I have some travel coming up the following week.

My credit card is still showing a pending charge, so while I am optimistic about tomorrow I won't be too surprised if it comes next week.

Official word from Apple now on all news outlet services that I've heard on my radio or seen on TV is that there is no jet black phones of any kind and no Plus phones "of any kind" available In Store worldwide on launch day. So that would include the matte blacks some people were hoping would be hoping for. I know the context of many conversations was hope for supply in third party stores and carrier stores. But I believe it's a pipe dream to believe that the carrier stores would have better supply than Apple stores.

So - hard reality we must accept - there are no Apple stores in the country that will be selling any plus phones of any color - and I firmly believe (opinion) there's no way you're going to find them in third party stores. Apple simply wouldn't do that to themselves.

People who want to wait for a phone tomorrow will only be able to find iPhone 7's and only in 4 colors… Super limited supplies of Matte black 7's as well.

No 7Plus Matte Black
No 7Plus Rose Gold
No 7Plus Gold
No 7Plus Silver
No 7 Jet Black

So if you're a 7Plus-only lover there's no reason for you to wait in any line in any store anywhere in the US. Waste of time. Apple has spoken!

I don't believe that. I just called an Austin area AT&T store and the salesman said they would have both 7 and 7 plus iPhones tomorrow morning.

7 128gb matte black, just received ship notification. Had been listed as back order for about 30 minutes. Original ship date estimate had been 9/20-9/27

Mine was backordered for probably about 9 to 10 hours before it finally shipped.

he just said that to get you in the store.

just like 3 years ago when I was #4 in a line of 40+ for the 5S and once in the store they told us they only got 6 phones and to not tell anyone else in line
 
To anyone that is going to camp out of go in store they will have plus models. No black or jet black but they will have plus models. So

att stores will have plus models. No type of black but they will have plus models guaranteed. I am unsure on the GB of them tho.

And since you've preordered, all you have to do is wait (as crushing as that might seem). At least you have a preorder.

I also ordered iPhone 7 plus 128 black. Order was placed at 3:20am ET (very close to yours) mine is still preparing for shipment. Also confident we will hear something today.

Seems like when your status goes to "Backordered" that's a good thing, and that it will ship soon. Mine has already shipped, and it never went to backordered. I was checking the status of mine a couple times per hour.

I'm in Washington state! (Pacific Northwest). Ordered before 3am ET and still 'Preparing for Shipping' for the 7+ matte black in 128!

How does that store know what shipments they will be getting?

Perhaps what they were really saying is that they can only sell certain types of inventory tomorrow, not that they magically know what their logistics carriers will actually be giving them days ahead :)

AT&T premiere Rep just told me all black 7P 128 were back ordered until 11/29. I think she's obviously mistaken. Mine still does backordered. Placed order at 11:49 PST.

The pre-auth may have fallen off, but you should see the charge post in a few days. Once AT&T settles today's batch, it will then go to their processor, which will then pass it onto your credit card company. This takes between 1 and 3 business days.
