If I didn't need a working ph0one so bad, it wouldn't matter, but I need it. For those with working phones who just want to be the first to have it, that's Okay, but my phone , after two years is not doing well, so I stayed up until 3 and ordered so I could get some relief on tomorrow (or today now) to get a new phone that I needed rather than wanted. Sily me. At 3:27 on Friday, I thought that it was possible. It's not, so be it. I can live with that. for all you that have working 6 or 6S phones, enjoy your new phones. I'm still waiting for a phone that is working.

Checked my order status on my 128 matte black plus and under tracking number it says "pending shipment" does that mean it just hasn't boarded the vehicle yet? I live in CA so if it's shipping from Texas it's only about a three hour flight, should be more than enough time to get it here.

Our gold 128gb iPhone 7P shippied from Tennessee via UPS.

I feel you. My 6plus has major battery issues, lasts about 3 hours tops. Jumps straight from 50% to 30% to 1% within the span of 20 minutes. Still no word on my jet black 128 plus. Apparently Best Buy is giving 100$ gift cards to those that preordered at opening and aren't getting their phones. AT&T hasn't given so much as an apology. Never ordering through att ever again.

You know, I keep hearing this about AT&T. Obviously SOMEBODY in IT decided to take the site live before midnight, but if you ask them, they are clueless. Some idiot made a HUGE error and tens of thousands of customers who stayed up very very late to preorder, get screwed. I also had a CS Supervisor FINALLY admit that AT&T didn't have scheduled maintenance during preorder, their servers went down. They were told to say it was scheduled maintenance (right, they,re going to schedule routine maintenance during their biggest sales night of the year. Idiots either way). Have they not done this before? Do they not prepare their servers for possible overload situations with extra backups? Apple does. Apple screwed up their IUP program, but then immediately made it right. AT&T finds no reason to fix anything. They simply don't care. I'm sure we'll all get the typical "we are so sorry we totally F'd up your iPhone order, (of course, it wasn't our fault, it was Apple). As I've been saying, never again. A hard lessened learned. AT&T is not a customer-centric company.

You're right. AT&T is not a customer-centric company. They should've been prepared for this yearly event that's been going on for 10 years now. The people in IT failed in multiple ways but AT&T will never admit it publicly. I'm surprised they didn't use AWS or Azure for pre-orders considering the capabilities vs server farm backend. Big shout out to AT&T for doing a great job on our half

Well that just doesn't seem very fair at all.

If I see one more person say "I ordered at 2:00PM in the afternoon, my phone shipped today!" while all of the early people sit with "Preparing to Ship" rom Sept 23 - Sept 30 one more time...... Lol smh..... learned my lesson.... NEVER preorder through AT&T.... stupid stupid me.... wtf was I thinking lol

I ordered at 11:58pm Pacific and I just checked my "preparing for shipment for a full week now" order in the lame 'MyATT" app and I can still cancel my order, which means I do not even have a phone built for me yet! Ordered two minutes before midnight (matte 256 +) and here we are a week later and there isn't even a phone assigned to me yet. How bad can this get and how do these guys stay in business. They are like ordering from the government, maybe worse if that is even possible.

Don't worry, many of us were screwed by AT&T. We all learned a hard lesson. Never buy anything from these guys. They would screw up sending a simple iPhone car charger order. People warned me not to order from AT&T, but I was so excited to get in a few minutes early that I couldn't resist. I think there are millions who will never order from AT&T again. I hope it hurts their business. A company like this has no business being in a customer-centric field. They may be the worst I've ever encountered, and I've encountered many very poor customer service companies. Maybe I'm spoiled by Apple and Amazon, but if those companies screw up, they make it right with a little something extra for your frustration. Not these guys. Like I said, we'll get a typical "we value you as a customer at AT$T and we're REALLY REALLY REALLY sorry you didn't get your iphone before others who ordered days after you. I hope you will order with us again. Again, we are REALLY REALLY REALLY sorry that Apple, screwed up" emails. lol can't wait to respond before I cancel my service with them. I guess my status with ATT IS "preparing to leave".

If only Apple's pre-orders worked like video games. The hell with the 1 week notices. I've had a phone every year on release day by just walking up to Apple or At&T. Usually the large storage devices were in stock, while the 16gb would sell out. Decided to pre-order one time, and deal with this crap. Won't do it next year, thats for sure.

Im terribly disappointed... Im still praying that my phone magically will appear at my door tomorrow but i know it wont happen.
Let them know it and tell them NEVER AGAIN. It won't change their lame system or attitude, but it will let them know some customers won't put up with their condescending attitude and lack of accountability. As usual, they will blame everything on Apple, including sending all of the early preorder customers to the back of the line which they will try and blame on lack of inventory from Apple (even though they are shipping the same phone to the people who didn't stay up late for preorder). They told the public their site went down after only a few hours because of "scheduled maintenance" Lol. I had a supervisor admit to me they were told to lie (she didn't say lie, but said they were given a script from corporate stating it was scheduled maintenance even though they all knew it was a full on server crash). They lied to their customers. Don't let them get away with thinking customers don't care. If enough of us say FU to them, it will at least hurt them the only place they care. Profits.

I was there waiting for that midnight release was in at 12:01 just to see other people that ordered my same phone later that day or even the next day get it before me... absolutely trash and ridicules. I would honestly switch companies over to Verizon or even Tmobile but they are probably all the same scam..

If I don't receive my phone tomorrow, I'm going to demand my upgrade fee be waived. The system was clearly not first come, first serve. More like get in early, wait till later

Ok guys, I'm done ranting. I made the mistake of preordering from a carrier, even though many friends warned me not too. They were the first to let me in, and I fell for it completely. You know, this was actually a diabolically genius move. Open up your site to live traffic a half an hour before anyone else including Apple, make people think they preordered early bit send them to the back of the line. Do you know how many people (like me) decided not to order from Apple because I got on ATT first? They potentially sold tens of thousands of phones to poor idiots like me with no intention of shipping these phones out as the first ordered. Meanwhile, they literally stole tens of thousands of orders from Apple and VZW. I wouldn't put it past AT&T to have preplammed this whole debacle. They will apologize, then blame everything on Apple not getting the inventory soon enough.
Ma Bell. What a company. Lol
Thanks for puttin' up with me, ladies and gentlemen. If nothing else, I met a bunch of really nice people here.

The fact that you can still cancel means their "preparing for shipment" status is nothing but pure BS. They don't even have a phone made yet for us. Lol
Bold move, man. I hope you find one tomorrow.

You are correct HRod, never even had a phone built for us yet, but that unmade phone has been "preparing for shipping" for a week. Lol
Just how stupid do they think we are? If I hadnt already committed to selling my 6Plus next week (for a great price), I'd cancel as well. I don't want ATT to have my business. Apple all the way for me next year.
Btw, the fact they were willing to cancel so quickly just shows how little they care about you. Pretty much "don't let the door hit you in the azz on the way out". Lol

I don't know if anyone can confirm this, but based on the other forums on here (particularly the ones solely about the 7/7 Plus Jet Blacks), people in the West coast have started to receive tracking numbers for their JBs.

I have also seen that there are some people who pre-ordered a JB iPhone 7 or 7 Plus have received a notification for a Monday (09.19.2016) delivery date.

I just now ordered another iPhone 7 - this one for my son in college. iPhone 7 matte black 128gb.

His ship dates are 9/22-9/29.

Two weeks earlier
than my 7+ matte black 128 gb that I ordered 5 days ago. And earlier than some of you who ordered in the middle of the night!

There seems to be lack of order in the whole iPhone ordering system.

I'm sure we'll all laugh about it after we have our precious in our hands ands our air pods dangling from our ears!
*edit- couldn't upload GIF correctly. Oh well

I'm on the west coast and ordered at 11:58pm, matte 256+. Predictably, still not a word from ATT. Over a week now. Thanks for the info though.

Still waiting on my 256 matte black 7+ to ship... I figured it would have shipped by now or I won't be getting it by launch day. And I ordered
09/09/2016 at 3:00:26 a.m. ET

now my delivery date does say 9/23-9/30 so it's not like it ever said I'd get launch day in the first place, but I figured ordering this early would help my chances. If I would have known staying up all night last week to order at 3am meant I would get it a week later while people that ordered the next day would get theirs on launch day, I wouldn't have bothered. But whatever I guess.

I'm waiting on the same. 2 - 256gb 7+, black and rose gold notningjas changed on shipping for either and I live in Atlanta. Not sure what order or games att is playing I ordered 9/9/15 at 3:01:44 still have a 9/23-9/30 ship date

No problem! I'm still waiting for my JB 128GB 7 Plus.

I just now ordered an inexpensive case from Amazon, since I was originally planning on using my old transparent case that I got when I ordered the 6 Plus two years ago. For some reason, I forgot that the cut outs will be different for the new models.
