Last time I ever order from AT&T again. 128GB MB 7+ ordered at 2:57am EST and I'm still on preparing to ship. What an absolute joke. I don't even care if I have to go through the apple site crashing I'm sure they will at least ship my phone out. Even if it takes me longer to get it idc at this point.....I'm just so fed up with AT&T and they have no answer to this. Terrible customer service.
Same boat like a lot of you guys. Sadly, I've been phone-less for a week now.

I feel the same way, I thought the point to pre-order was to make sure you got it day 1. I have pre-ordered game consoles, games, movies, Amazon echo and everytime I got them day 1. this here, this is a scam, a ***** way selling phones and screwing your customers
Preordering doesn't guarantee you a phone on release day. It just means you should get a phone before others that order after you. They can only ship what they have in stock.
If it makes you feel better, AT&T dropped the ball this year. There is clearly no priority in when phone was ordered.
i'm in atlanta too and stuck on the same status (preparing to ship) att and their BS excuses. Dah Well. i guess its not all too bad. my local news did a quick piece on the release and said that there are NO 7 PLUS available...*shrug*
You're not alone. Not even close. Real disappointed.
Yet, that doesn't seem to be the case either since it appears others who've ordered later than me are receiving theirs already.
Eh, its a lesson learned. There's really no point in pre-ordering a phone. Its just easier to go to the store the day of or just wait until the excitement dies down.
So the big question is, do I go to an AT&T store and see if they have my phone? Then try and cancel my pre-order? Ugh.

I don't doubt that everything is tracked. What I'm saying is that we ordinary consumers have zero insight into anything behind the scenes until someone in the know can share actual insight into the process.
However, anyone who has worked on similar infrastructure knows there are many moving parts and they don't necessarily all work at the same time as someone producing an http request on a public-facing web server.

It should mean I get it day 1, any other product pre-order knows how many they have for pre-order and you get it day 1. This is a **** show to pad sales numbers. Sales totals shouldn't include phone not yet shipped.
Yeah athat's first I was like "OK, I know I ordered a high demand phone so when I get it, I get it." Now I am contemplating stealing my wife's RG 7+ when I get home and hiding it til mine shows up.
I've given up on the credit card hold being indicative of anything. Both of my CC preauths dropped off on Tuesday and one order "shipping" on Monday and still no charge for either on my CC.
This is what I'd like to know also. Same device. Ready to head to AT&T now.
I was hoping to see movement on 256GB Black 7 Plus for delivery today. Still "preparing shipment". I ordered @ 3:40 AM ET on 9/9. I am going to be patient and just wait for it. I was contemplating on cancelling and going to the AT&T store to see what they have. Since no 256GB in black, or any other color have shipped, I am just going to keep my place in the pre-order line. IMO, I think that no store is going to have a 256GB Plus today, as they are all sold out. Also, I don't think they left China in time to be here for launch day. I have a case and screen protector, so when I get the phone, I will be ready to go.
