Carrier iPhone 7/7+ AT&T Pre-Order Thread

So my wife's' silver 128 Plus will be here today but not my 128 Black Plus. That's what I get for ordering her phone second on pre-order night. LOL!

Now, I know this is the place to bitch or whatever, but some of you sound like infants. You didn't get a phone on launch day. There's a lot more stuff to worry about in a day. And if you're gonna pray for something, use the good vibes for something important.

Ok I'm done. Keep the entertainment up. :)

dammit phone still havent arrived in houston.

do they even have time to do the sorting process and make deliveries
 
Left an authorized AT&T retailer no pluses there. 8 iPhone 7s in stock.

Hi. I'm pretty new here but wanted to share. I ordered on 9/9 at 9:00am CST and was given a ship date of 9/23-9/30 still says preparing for shipment. I was hoping I might get it today but no luck. Mine is the RG 7+ 256 GB. When I try to check my status with 6737 it can't find it.

Out of curiosity, those of you still waiting on shipment confirmation, have you signed up for accounts on FedEx and UPS to get notifications of deliveries to you? In the off chance that AT&T systems just suck but you might actually have a delivery coming? I received my FedEx text at 7:01am but AT&T did not text me til 12pm.

Not likely at all in my opinion. I have shipping notifications with all of the carriers (Fedex, UPS and USPS) that would alert me of a pending shipment and I've got nothing coming my way.

I dont think anyone is being an "infant" about it. We stayed up middle of the night on a work night (Thurs into Fri when Apple usually does it Fri into Sat) to pre order one. The whole point of pre ordering is to get one launch day, otherwise why bother taking pre orders? They mine as well ship them all over to hold in the US and start taking orders launch day then online and in stores. Pre order implies you want it to your home on launch day hence why you pre ordered.

Further, people who ordered the next day are getting them before people 1 min after pre orders started.

Plenty of valid gripes, despite the fact yes we will all eventually get our phones. But to not hold ATT/Apple any bit accountable for this fiasco is ridiculous. Apple knew how many they needed roughly, and ATT knows its not right to ship to people who ordered the same exact config after someone else.

I signed up for Fed Ex - I already had UPS my choice.

It just means AT&T didn't know how many phones they would have available for preorder. Even if they knew how many they were getting which is unlikely there is no way to know how many people would preorder. Unless you know know of a way to shut the preorder system down after the limit is reached were going to have to live with the estimated date given. That's not the way it's suppose to work but that's just the way it is. I preordered at my local store on Sunday for my wife's iPhone 7+. Just because I preordered doesn't mean I'll get it on release day. It just means I reserved a phone and I'll get it when it becomes available.

I understand the gripes. Look, I order two phones and the one I ordered first is not coming, but the second ten minutes later will be delivered. That's not in order, but lots of variables probably going on where they are shipping these things.

I had to order at 3:00 AM so I get the staying up part. :)

Anyway, maybe I'm just in a bad mood today.

Apple sets the numbers and after 9 years they know the pre order demand. This is artificial hype so they can announce sold out everywhere. Big news stories of the day/weekend.

Then a flood will come in after launch stories die to fulfill everyone else next week once the news dies down.

Pre ordering 3 days later is not the same at 3 to 4am on a weeknight. You knew they were sold out and shipping dates were far back.

Getting in 1 minute after pre orders start and not getting one launch day isnt right; meanwhile people who ordered Friday got shipping. People have the right to be unhappy with the shoddy system they have in place.

Nobody waiting outside my local ATT. Maybe after I get my Starbucks I should wait and see if I can get lucky. Hmm.

When I did get in I got stuck with the "system maintenance" message until 4. I was so hopeful like everyone else we would see more movement of the JB's for launch day. Tried to go through Apple's site but I still had one Next payment to take care of so I had to stick with AT&T for this year. I know better now. I'll make sure I get that taken care of ahead of time next year and then go through Apple next year. (I also have issues with FedEx in my area and much prefer UPS.)

I was wondering this also but I have FedEx delivery manager set up and haven't received a notification about my order. I did receive a notification about my wifes order that shipped though.

I have tried with the order number and it says I'm sorry your request was not recognized. When I try it with my phone number it says We're sorry. Requested information is currently unavailable. Please try again later.
 
I made an account today just to talk about this dumb preordering crap everyone is going though !

I just went to apple, one of the first people in line "WE DID NOT HAVE ANY PLUSES AND NO BLACK!!!"

i go to AT&T store, they have a bunch in stock, but no jet black.. they had a matte black 32 in the plus and all other colors in the plus but jet black...

I personally dont think any place has jet black at all lol.. I almost said "F**K IT" and cancel my order and got the gold... but i would of regretted it in the long run
 
My brother's 256GB Black iPhone 7 is now on backorder according to *ORDR#, while the website saying "processing." His order is odd though because I placed it at 3:44am ET on 9/9/2016, but it had "Action Required," which ATT finally (after a total of 3 hours on the phone) fixed it and I received a new email saying I ordered the phone at 3:05:37pm ET on 9/15/16.

My 256GB Jet Black iPhone 7 Plus that I ordered at 3:04am ET (12:16:51pm ET 9/9/2016, according to the website) is processing on both the website and *ORDR#
 
Not sure these shipping notification things work. I have a 7 being delivered today via FedEx and haven't heard a thing via the delivery manager.
