so if the stores don't have pluses - and don't expect to have any soon... how will we get ours?
Yeah I am starting to think we won't get ours by 9/30 either...this is a total mess. I will never pre-order another apple device again

Sorry to those whose phone is a part of the low inventory section!
My conclusion is that, regardless the time you placed your order, if you ordered one of the phones in high demand but little availability, you're going to get it at a later date; with the pre-order, you're guaranteed a phone whereas those who walk in to a store to purchase, are not. Unfortunately, that guarantee doesn't necessarily cover Launch Day. Also, we can't fully blame AT&T as they can only do with what they have. It seems Apple is prioritizing its direct customers over the carriers, and they sent very little inventory to partners.

Also, try to be patient with an AT&T rep if you speak with one today. I worked in customer support for two years and the CSR cannot control anything; they are only telling you information that's been passed to them, and they personally have ZERO control over any of it. This week has been a headache for all I'm sure, and it's a nice relief when they speak with an understanding and patient customer, or at least one who doesn't mouth off to them when they can't do anything. ;)

Sadly my biggest "worry" is seeing my phone move from "At local FedEx facility" to "Out for delivery" and it's already after 9:00am CST...normally the deliveries are on the truck by 8:00. I know I'll be getting it today, but it's still that anxious wait to see movement and know it's getting closer!

iPhone 7 (reg.) - RG - 128GB.

Hang in there, friends!
A few things in response:

1. There is a rhyme and reason to what AT&T (and every other carrier, for that matter) does regarding preorders. I've already created an idea that, given varying posts regarding actual order time versus actual ship time, it could be reasonably determined when the prime ordering period is for preorders. It is obviously not prior to or at 12:01am PDT, and hasn't been since I was an earlier-than-preorder time on my iPhone 6 Plus two years ago, and others got theirs before I got mine.

2. CSRs are definitely in a thankless position. Unfortunately, many also don't know what they're doing when they push forward either misinformation (as opposed to disinformation) or aren't reading a screen correctly or whatever. While there are plenty of great CSRs out there (no doubt you might have been one of them), unfortunately there are those who don't know what they're dealing with. Case in point: when I called AT&T yesterday to confirm my upgrade program for my preordered phones, while the lady was extremely knowledgable about billing, she had almost no clue about the devices nor what the process was about. I'm not saying she should have; I'm saying that not all CSRs, as nice as they may be, are equally knowledgeable about things.

Mine:
2 IP7+ MB 256GB, ordered 9/9 8:30am/12:30pm ET, 9/23-9/30

I've went to three stores now in Lakeland, Fl. 1 store got a RG plus 256gb. The rest various 7 sizes and colors. Didn't get full details on those, I want a plus.

I live here too but decided to get sleep this year instead of camping out. I will hold out hope for delivery next week. 7+ Gold 256 GB ordered at 2:58 am 9/9/16.

Ordered a 128gb iPhone 7 Gold, guaranteed deliver by today (16th), but then this happened...

Got an email from ATT last night and I got excited that maybe I was going to get a tracking number... then i read the subject line:
"Leslie, after reviewing your account, we've determined... " (then i started to panic because it sounded like they were about to tell me something was wrong)
Opened the email and
"... YOU'RE ELIGIBLE FOR A GREAT TABLET!"
You know,... I was fine with waiting until my shipping window and fine with no news until it ships... but that email made me audibly respond at my desk "F-U Att" Get-my-hopes-up-and try to sell me another crappy tablet before shipping fulfilling the order i've already placed? F U indeed.

Ha! I got the same thing!!

I actually though that getting the MB 256 7+ gave me better odds of getting launch day. Figured: less people will order because of price, and less people would need/want that size. Hell, I don't really need the space either, only reason I got it is because I thought demand would be less. The was a $100 gamble that I obviously lost...
The problem is so did Apple. Demand outweighed the supply that was created.

Why are you all pissed off that you didn't get the phone on launch day? AT&T told you the date range it would ship..
and because it didn't ship early you want to string them up?

really?

You chose to order the phone with those dates.
The only push-back I would give is that there have been at least two posts (some pages back) where someone has claimed (allegedly) that they actually ordered a Matte Black (I think it was) Plus yesterday -- that's 9/15/2016 -- and got shipping confirmation today (that's 9/16/2016).

I might be wrong by 12 - 24 hours, but the point was that someone is claiming to have clearly ordered well after preorders even started and they've allegedly already had theirs shipped.

If this is confirmed to be true, then that's why some here (frankly, including myself, even though I'm not going apoplectic over my shipping time frame) are a bit confused over this process.

Given that news reports state that certain models are completely sold out (presumably because of preorders and/or Apple's IUP snafu), how are folks allegedly getting similar models (that are sold out) within 24 - 48 hours of placing an order?

This is what doesn't make sense. If anything, that "extra" inventory should be going to those of us in preorder line, not someone who "walks up" 24 - 48 hours before general availability and can pick one up.

Has anyone gotten a tracking number today - it would seem that some should be sent out.

No back button. Apps have to have support to go back. Switching back to another app in the top left corner.
Oh ok. Thanks. I keep subconsciously hitting the bottom corner thinking there's a back button lol. This is going to take some getting used to.

It's the opposite. Less people means, lower down in the shipping priority :(. My neighbor ordered two Matte blacks, a 128 GB and a 256 GB. He got his 128 GB but not the 256 GB. :(

This is true, buuuuttt, when people are seeing others orders placed after them for the same configuration phones being shipped... they have every right to be pissed.

Thank you for being understanding girl! I really need the pick me up today since I'm not getting my phone til later this month :(

I got that same email and responded "How about you send me the iPhone that's been "preparing for shipment" since I bought it at 2am on pre-order day instead of trolling my email, mmmk pumpkin?"

I was really satisfied until I got the automated response telling me that inbox is not monitored... :(

Duh. But those boxes are in another box to be shipped.
Right, just came in a regular brown box but we were all just chatting while we were signing for our packages, asking each other what color and size everyone ordered and stuff and chatting about how we'd all been waiting in anticipation.
[doublepost=1474042822][/doublepost]I just thought about something, I have no idea if my neighbors ordered through Apple.com or through a carrier site, so I guess it's irrelevant that my neighbor received his Matte Black 128 GB. He could have ordered directly through Apple for all I know. I should have asked while we were all down in the lobby. Dang.

Pre-ordered at an AT&T Store just 48 hours ago (Wednesday afternoon); phone is on a local FedEx truck for delivery to my house as I write this... iPhone 7, matte black, 256GB.
