Carrier iPhone 7/7+ AT&T Pre-Order Thread

Our normal Fedex lady just stopped by my work. Her truck was virtually empty not many phones on the truck. I asked if she had mine as she also delivers to my home (I live within a mile of where I work) and unfortunately nope. Nothing. So disappointed. I have an Iphone 7+ 256 Black that has been stuck on preparing for shipment since the order was placed on 9/9
No package for me today. It doesn't look like many 256GB iPhone plus were shipped in any color. Looks like ALL +256's are the unicorn.
Yes. Last night at 8pm. I also got a FedEx text message indicating the date of delivery was rescheduled to saturday, 09/17 but that turned out to be a mistake.
My phone says preparing for shipping but says under it expected shipping October 25-28 does that mean it's coming early
I decided to stop by my local AT&T to see if I might luck up and get a 7+ but she said they didn't get any. The lady said they got 30 phones which were all 7's 128gb. I guess I'll have to wait for mine. The delivery is 9/23-9/30. She did say if they happen to get one in before it moves out of prepairing to ship they can just cancel my order.
8 days, preparing to ship...nothing. AT$T.
Hold fell off my card this morning, mainly I'm sure because the bank won't keep a hold on longer than a week. Beyond disappointed with this entire experience. My motto continues: Never Again, AT$T, Never Again!

You probably will get it early, but "preparing to ship" isn't anything special coming from AT&T. Mine's been preparing to ship since last Friday. My estimated shipping dates are 9/23-9/30.
At this point, both Apple and AT&T can go kick rocks and run into something sharp for all I care.
If it makes you feel better, the status on my 7+, 256GB, Black is "In Progress"
Not likely, mine is still in preparing to ship and has dates 10/7-10/14. Has been that way since I ordered on 9/9
Fedex driver dropped off my phone. I mean literally dropped it off. Never rang the door bell, just tossed it on the porch and left. Thank goodness, my daughter was home to retrieve it.
THIS IS BAD
I'm pissedd but not really for just that. I totally get they can't to some extent control it, if they didn't get the stock and I don't get it launch date I get that. Why I'm mad is because I was considering paying off the remainder (I'm on Next) and switching to Apple. When the date came up that date I contacted support a few minutes after the order (so still around midnight PT) and was told oh don't worry about it the dates don't update you'll get it on launch day. If I had thought it was really going to be that long I would have went over to Apple site even if I had to wait a bit extra time. Now I'll get it sooner keeping the order.
So the BAD NEWS:
I called ATT and basically said to them what I just typed, that it was the fact that the agent outright lied to me Friday after I ordered. The guy was really nice (although he offered me $99 headphones for compensation I was like wtf that deal is available to everyone) and apologized. But here's the worse news. According to him, they had problems with the orders/website and orders got backed up. He admitted that it's possible that people who ordered phones after me (or anyone since this was site wide) could receive it before me regardless of the time of order. It could arrive sooner though...So happy my mom wants to buy my phone next year (she's got my old 6) so I'm totally switching.
I'm less worried about waiting a week. I'm more worried since I've seen this movie before, and a "wait 1 week more" for AT&T means far far more than wait a week. I'm extremely concerned that I won't see my phone before Thanksgiving given AT&T track record.
SAME HERE! Luckily I have a video doorbell or I wouldnt have known. Well, thats not true. I got a FedEx text within seconds of it being left at door
This was the exact statement a manager at my local ATT store gave me. No store got more than a couple pluses (if any at all) in order to fill preorders first.
