He simply called and ordered over the phone. They quoted him a mid/late October delivery date. Ugh frustrating.

I was on Apple's site and app. My husband was on AT&T, we were seeing which site would go live first. We had the purchase complete on AT&T's site at 3:01:29 EST. Apple's site didn't go live for me until 3:09. So I figured we were safer going with AT&T. I guess not. I had been checking both AT&T and Apple for an hour before preordering supposedly went live. I don't know how other people were able to order theirs before 3 am. Just luck I guess.

I tried ordering the iPhone through Apple at 3am, 9/9. But they required my phone number, zip code, and last 4 of SSN, which is stupid when I just wanted to purchase it outright. So then I moved over to AT&T and purchased one there through a new line.
I'm wondering if they had to clear up the order que so more orders could come in so they put those in another que by themselves and the people who ordered after they did got their order immediately processed and bumped up in line to be shipped. Just a theory.

Thanks. I ordered about 2:55am eastern time, a matte, 256+. Shockingly, I received a 9-23/9-30 "shipping" window and haven't heard a peep out of them since. Nothing. Authorization fell of this morning because banks don't like to keep holds on accounts for more than a week. These guys have nothing on the US Government. They act the same way. We'll get to ya when we get to ya, so shuddup and sit in the corner and keep sending us your money till we call you. Great attitude these guys have. Not exactly modeled after Apple's "customer experience", that's for sure.
It doesn't come with that wallpaper, it comes with this ocean wave backgroundcheck me back with that jelly wallpapers lad, i saw someone said they didnt come with . let me know if they come with it
If you are looking for regular (NOT plus) iphone 7 matte black, you should still be able to get it at most AT&T stores now. I just called a couple stores checking for jet black color but they only have matte black.

I've only seen one person so far that have for delivery today. He had an estimated delivery date of oct 13-20. Pretty much no one else got a tracking if you have oct 14-21 estimate.
