I'm a newbie and I've been following this thread for the last few days. I ordered the 256gb 7+ jet black on 9/9 at 3:24am. I understand the frustrations that everyone is expressing. I understand that I was not promised a launch day delivery, hence why I wasn't upset over not receiving my phone today. Until now. My boyfriend decided 2 days ago that he would upgrade to the 7+ 128gb matte black. He just got his delivered 20 minutes ago. He ordered 2 days ago....no rhyme or reason to the order in which these phones are being shipped. :(
Plenty of rhyme and reason. Jet Black are extremely scarce. No matter where you look, very very few have shipped.

I know you wanted to have your phone as soon as possible and that is what we are aiming for here in AT&T as well, however, due to high volume of orders, we needed to make an adjustment to compensate all of our customers. Do not worry as the shipment dates that we are giving are all system generated and tentative. This means that there is still a high possibility that you might receive the package earlier than what you expected."

This is what the person on the AT&T chat told me. Does not bring any comfort to me as my I6 loves to die at 85% and I really need a new phone. BOO!!!!

This.....LMAO. I needed this because even as I hear the truck(s) I know I still have to wait for the elusive ATT tracking confirmation process email/status. :)
 
They have bungled this thing from the start. First some idiot let's the site go live 15 minutes early, so everyone who ordered early has been pushed back behind those who ordered after 3:00am.

You keep saying this as though it is fact. My orders prove this theory wrong. Not ALL people who got in early got their order pushed back.

Order: 2:52 ET - 128gb/7/JB original ship date 10/13-10/20 - delivered today
Order: 2:49 ET - 128gb/7/MB original delivery date 9/16 - delivered today

Whoever has received their phones, how does the home button feel? Better or Worse?

I like it a lot! I wouldn't say better or worse. Very similar to how my Apple Watch taps my wrist.

It's also 100% true. During these high volume rushes and launches, the shipping dates are meaningless. They are all greatly conservative, and not a single phone will be delivered past those dates. 99% will come before. Whether its a day before, or a week before, it will be before.
 
I am really concerned that stock isn't the reason why some of us haven't gotten our orders - I fear that they are lost somewhere in the system.

Entirely possible for some. I had so many issues ordering. Ended up with with like 7 hold charges on my card/s (I had to try more than one it kept giving me errors for some reason about the card not working). Then it finally went through but I didn't get confirmation emails until the next day.

lol i have been eagerly waiting for my fedex truck.... that lad is running late today and i got 3 phones on it.

The helter skelter way they are doing the shipping has been a disaster. Shipping to people WAY out of order. For someone new to preordering from ATT whom gets past over for someone who ordered days later, what would make them EVER want to deal with these people again? They clearly aren't well set up for these preorders and should just get out of the preorder business. This has been an embarrassment.

Oh yeah I understand why mine is not here. I keep reading about others who have ordered the 7+ 128 matte black on 9/9 first thing and they haven't received theres. Sorry, that's what I meant when there is no rhyme or reason for their order of shipments. No one else is getting the jet blacks so I understand why I haven't received mine.

Mine was promised today.
Tracking says not till Monday.
 
I got my phone but At&T sent me the wrong one! I ordered a Jet Black 256gb but they sent a Black 128gb! I contacted at&t and they say to return the wrong phone by shipping it back then they'll send me the correct one once they have more in stock! I'm not waiting around for them to get more in stock... I've always ordered from Apple before, this is the first time I've tried At&t, what a pain... Any one else have that problem happen???

Any suggestions on how to get my correct phone faster???

Count how many people on here ordered early and have heard nothing. I spoke to a CS rep yesterday who said he had received many complaints from early order people. Some orders were even cancelled. Sorry, glad you got your phone, but this rollout has been a disaster. Site goes down after two hours for "scheduled maintenance" on iPhone preorder night/morning? Really? Scheduled maintaince? No live chat available. Shipping to people who ordered days before others. Embarrassing.
