Carrier iPhone 7/7+ AT&T Pre-Order Thread

/I think the "Preparing to ship" line in order status is really misleading. From early on the morning of order day I have been preparing to ship with a 9/23 to 9/30 date. How can you be preparing to ship something you don't have for at least a week? As I said earlier, Apple for some reason did not anticipate that the Plus was the way to go and the black phones would be popular. So I wait with a really damaged phone and just hope it last until who knows when.

Sounds like a lot of us in the Mid-West are still preparing to ship. Hopefully in the next day or two we all see movement if the regional shipping theory is true.
 
I just ordered my black 128GB 7 through AT&T. Judging by the posts on this thread... it'll be a while. So to receive the iPhone 6 trade in, can I take it into the AT&T store after October? Or should I fill out on the online trade in form before September 30?

I'm in Chicago and my watch as well as my 256 gb 7plus are arriving 9/20. So I think your dates will def push up and go into shipped status this week. Monday or Tuesday.

STL as well here. Ordered at 03:15. MB 7+ 128GB. Shipping 23-29. "Preparing to ship". Sucks but I'll have to agree.. We were told those dates. It goes over then maybe I'll be mad.

The way I understand it & the way it reads in the offer details is 30 days from receipt of your new iPhone 7. In-store rep told me that but he works for ATT so ymmv.

  • Must purchase or upgrade to a new iPhone 7 or iPhone 7s Plus with AT&T Next®, AT&T Next Every YearSM, or Equipment Installment Plan, with qualified service (for new customers, a minimum for $50 on Mobile Share Advantage. For existing customers may add it to an eligible postpaid wireless plan that includes voice and data).
  • Must trade in an eligible iPhone 6, iPhone 6s, iPhone 6 Plus, or iPhone 6s Plus that is paid off, fully functional and in good condition through one of the methods outlined below.
  • This offer excludes AT&T Next upgrade trade-ins. If you have an eligible iPhone on any AT&T Next installment plan, you'll need to pay off the remaining installment balance prior to trade-in.
  • Once you receive your new iPhone you'll have 30-days to get the promotional trade-in value for your eligible iPhone. The trade-in promotion code is required for online trade-in. The promotion code is valid for 30 days after receiving the new iPhone 7 or iPhone 7 Plus, even if you receive the iPhone after September 30, 2016.
    • Note: Once your trade-in is received and verified, your bill credits will start within 3 bill cycles. You will need to pay your bill in full, remain active and in good-standing on your installment agreement to continue to receive your credits towards your installment payments.   • Remove personal information and security features from trade-in device. Trade-in process
To process an eligible trade-in visit an AT&T store, contact your AT&T account representative, or go to tradein.att.com to complete these steps.

Note: If you received trade-in instructions in the box with your new iPhone, follow the steps below instead to take advantage of this offer.
  1. From the Start a Trade-in tab, search for and select your eligible iPhone model for trade-in.
  2. Select Click to continue your trade. The trade-in value shown will not match the $650 promotional value at this step.
  3. Answer the questions about the condition of the iPhone and enter:
    • IMEI/ESN/Serial #
    • Mobile phone number
    • Promotion code FALL2016TRADE

  4. Once you click Accept and Continue, the trade-in value will be displayed as $0. If you meet the requirements for this promotion, you’ll receive up to $650 in monthly bill credits. Follow the prompts to confirm the trade-in value.

  6. Separate shipping materials and a postage paid label will be automatically sent to you. Follow the instructions on how to send in the iPhone.
  7. When the trade-in is approved, you’ll start receiving monthly bill credits within 3 billing cycles. The monthly bill credit will be applied toward your installment payment.

I did nothing yet. I got IP7 + JB 256gb with shipping 9/30-10/7 no word yet hoping it ships next week. I always upgrade every year since iPhones always launch on or around my birthday. Seems like this year I won't have it on my birthday. I'm sad.
 
When I enter my order number and zip to 6737 it says it can't find my order with that info but if I put wireless number and zip it pulls my order no problem.. still says in progress...
