Lol, these guys just have no idea what the heck they are doing. Scheduled maintenance 90 minutes into preorder? Clown Car.Spoke with an AT&T employee who said they don't know what caused this mass text or why it went out. But that they are getting a lot of calls about it and are escelating it to find out what happened.
This is from a friend who I used to work with there (I used to work at an AT&T call center during the iPhone 5S launch time frame) and still have family and friends there.
Buddy of mine told me it's not known why it went out, but they got bombarded with calls and are trying to find out. I know this isn't much news or really any news at all. But this is good enough confirmation for me that it has absolutely nothing to do with our orders and those who got the text and later had their status change to back order would have had that happen regardless and this has NO say on when the rest of us will get our devices.
