Matte Black 7+ 128GB. Ordered 9/9 4:09 ET Shipped early this morning. Delivers tomorrow.
Finally movement on my MB 128 +'s.
And by movement I mean reservations at an Apple store today after work to pick up Verizon models.

Ordered 9/9 9:30am EST. 7+ MB 128GB.
My order on the website/app says "preparing to ship" while the text status says "in progress". Been this way since last Sat/Sun or so.
Haven't received the spam text message either. Also, I cannot get the text method to work when I try entering in my order number or my contact number. The only text method I can get to work is choosing "1" and entering in my zip code.

Every time I read a post where someone is really excited about "backorder" status, I almost want to laugh. In any sane world, backorder would be a bad thing, but in the upside down world that is AT&T preordering, it's one of the best things that can happen to you

I'm not terribly upset with AT&T or anything. Ultimately, I have yet to hear about people not getting their phones after when AT&T said they would. But, how difficult would it be for them to implement an order status system that gave you a little bit more useful information. When you go from "processing" to "preparing for shipment" almost immediately after you order, it really gets your hopes up that those estimated ship dates are gross overestimates. Little do you know, preparing for shipment really means backorder and backorder really means preparing for shipment.

Still waiting.........256 plus matte black......absolutely nothing happening. So frustrating.
Not for a while, and as far as I know I've received everything I've ordered from them. The other package is from Duluth Trading Co. in Madison, WI.
I too would like to know, my paypal debit card can't be used on ebay cause of this.

Very eventful night. My power went out and my phone died so couldn't check for any updates. Power came back on sometime after I feel asleep luckily I had my phone plugged in so if/when power came back on my phone would charge. Checked my status and as of 650 am my phone has left Albany, GA! Theyre only 2 hours away so im hoping it gets delivered around lunch time
I just talked with AT&T because the phone has shipped, will be here today, but the charge is not showing and neither is a hold. The hold disappeared over a week ago. She said that it will be charged when we activate the phone. That sounds strange but must be right. We charged the full amount to our CC for the phone.
For people looking for shipment of 7+ 256GB MB phones...there were a few that shipped yesterday. It seems to reason that more are on the way to be shipped out in the next few days (but then again, who really knows). Three UPS flights landed this morning at DFW and there are more scheduled for later this afternoon. For most of us with this phone order, the dates are 9/23-9/30 so it should be soon. I, like most of you, are disgusted with AT&T's attempt for a smooth preorder. The handful of like phones that went out yesterday were all ordered AFTER I did! I pushed the order button at exactly 3:01AM EDT on the 9th, but my order said it was completed at 2:52AM.
Those that are asking about the path your phones takes, no one knows for sure, but the general theory is that they leave China on UPS flights to Anchorage, AK then on to the UPS hub in Louisville, KY. From there, they get shipped to a AT&T warehouse in Dallas/Ft. Worth where they are processed and then handed over to (mostly) Fedex to be delivered to you.
Here's hoping that there will be significant movement of the 7+ 256GB MB phones in the next couple of days!

I live in indy, and I too have not seen any movement. I ordered 128 plus matte black. Thought yesterday was looking good but nothing.
You've come this far, surely you are willing to go just a bit further. Don't give up hope just yet.
