I ordered 9/9 at 12:14 AM (PDT) for 128 GB Matt Black phone. No changes in status since 9/9. This is the FIRST and LAST TIME I ever order directly from AT&T. I've always ordered from Apple and I see why now. Apple ABSOLUTELY delivers to first orders first (FIFO). I am shocked at the treatment by AT&T. Since my 6S Plus is so similar to the 7 Plus, I'm OK with receiving it a few weeks after Pre-Order. I'm glad this is to next year with the 10th Anniversary iPhone comes out the will be so different. So, next year it's back to Apple for the Order. I did it last year and it was fine, other than AT&T losing the returned prior iPhone and trying to charge me for it even though tracking showed their return agent received it. Ultimately, it was found and the charge reversed. AT&T has really let people down.
As to those who have said, "AT&T told us shipping between 9/23 and 9/30, so we should not be upset if the phones don't come before those dates," that would be fine if no Pre-Orders were filled prior to those dates. But, when we see people who ordered hours after our orders receiving their phones prior to 9/23, we have a legitimate cause to be upset.
Enough said: I'm just waiting as the majority of other Pre-Order people are waiting.
Last year, ATT lost my prior iPhone that I mailed to them and it took forever to finally get them to credit me back. They said we never received the phone. Then a month later, the warehouse mailed the supposedly lost phone back to me claiming that they hadn't received it timely enough even though I mailed it to them 1 day after receiving the new phone. I will never do their trade in deals again. Too much run around! Too much stress!
