I've read that a few UPS flights with the JB's' on them are stuck in Korea. Don't know whether it's a custom's thing like yesterday's flights, or it's mechanical. UPS has confirmed the delay.

Oh so that could be the reason, thanks for the heads up.
I'm literally trying to be patient here, but every other iPhone configuration I read that gets shipped makes me :/ inside.
That's why I ordered the MB. I didn't want to wait until Nov at best (by the time I was in the store on 9/11).
Same here, although seeing them at the Apple store (all they had was regular 7's, no pluses on display), I made the right choice for me. I love the stealthy look of the matte.
Woke up and mine was backordered. Just got the shipping notification that it will be here tomorrow! Had a ship date of 9/23-9/30. 7+256 MB. Ordered on the 9th, but order didn't get placed till the 10th for whatever reason. Yay!
Here's the order. The agent said she overrode the shipping and that I would have it tomorrow. I don't know what to believe now though but I canceled my PreOrder already so I'm stuck. And I don't know why it says that I ordered at 12:46 AM EST when I ordered at 12:46 PM EST. I haven't received an order confirmation.

Who would have thought that people would rather see "backlogged" instead of "In progress".
"In progress" is probably the most hated two words in the forum.
In progress is a really bad sign. It should immediately go to Preparing to ship. That means the order has not been sent to the warehouse for fulfillment.

I never even got an order confirmation. On the up side if does take until November to get the phone, at least the jailbreak is likely to be out by then. Coming from Android, there's no way I could live without jailbreaking.

What did you end up doing? I'm not desperate thankfully. I have a Gold Plus right now, but I'm annoyed that she (potentially) gave me the wrong information and promised me that it was arriving tomorrow, if it isn't.
Matte Black 7+ 256 GB ordered on 9/9 2:40AM Central with original shipping timeframe of 9/23-9/30. Received message from AT&T telling me my phone was on it's way on Tuesday, 9/20. Moved to backordered Wednesday, 9/21 in the afternoon. Tracking received Wednesday 9/21 at 7PM. Delivered Thursday, 9/22.

Well guys- Just canceled my AT&T order and reserved one at Apple store tomorrow.Already payed tax to hold around 3:30 tomorrow. The lady was so helpful and said that we were the only 2 people ( me and my GF) that actually got the PLus MB, they have not had stock all week but just got some in so perfect timing! So, I have question. I've seen a few people say there order was backordered. Then after a short period of time they had received a tracking number with an estimated date of when their phone will arrive. So now when I check on my order using AT&T's website it says my order is preparing to ship, but if I check my order through *6737# they tell me it has been backordered. Now the thing is it has been this way for over a day now. So should I worry that my order could potentially be screwed up or is there nothing to worry about. I've also called AT&T to check on it and they tell me it's still preparing to ship, but I'm prettty sure there just using the same website that we use to check order status.

I also canceled my order a few hours ago and bought one that was in stock through the Apple Store app that will be available to pickup tomorrow. I'm in Florida btw, and by looking at the istock now map, there's more and more MB pluses popping up all over so keep your eyes peeled!

Anyone seeing movement on shipping dates of 10/7-10/14 since the time you placed your order doesn't matter. I just want my Rose Gold Plus.
Backordered is good. Have you tried to find your shipment on fedex.com by tracking by reference? With the reference being your mobile #?
I have received both generated text messages from AT&T in the last two days but my order does not seem to go into backorder. I'm starting to lose hope and think there is a problem with my order. Placed my order on 9/9 MB 128gb got confirmation email 5 minutes after order was placed.
