I have received both generated text messages from AT&T in the last two days but my order does not seem to go into backorder. I'm starting to lose hope and think there is a problem with my order. Placed my order on 9/9 MB 128gb got confirmation email 5 minutes after order was placed.
What do you guys think?
Shipping between 23-30 stuck on "preparing for shippment" since 9/9. No other movement.

It is unfortunate that some of those ordered on 9/9 are waiting on their orders (including me) while others are receiving it. But we cannot complain until it is past the 30th and the product is yet to ship. Per AT&T they have provided the shipping dates between 23 & 30. So as long as they ship before one or before the 30th, they are good.

That's exactly what I was thinking. Hope we get out phones soon because it is very frustrating seeing people that ordered after us already with their phones. If I knew it would be like this I would have went to sleep that night and would have ordered days later
 
I've read that a few UPS flights with the JB's' on them are stuck in Korea. Don't know whether it's a custom's thing like yesterday's flights, or it's mechanical. UPS has confirmed the delay.
Still waiting Ron, or did you get it?
 
Crazy AT&T! Website says backordered, but has a FedEx tracking number! LOL Guess I am getting my 256 Black Plus tomorrow :)

Sweet! Man you gonna love it. I got two now, bought full pop. Figure I'll use them with att till December when the last line contract ends and switch to Verizon. Yesterday at the Apple Store there was a line of people waiting on stand by in case a reservation for a plus didn't show.

That happened to me when I called. She had to resubmit the order again to actually get the override to work. The first time she did it it didn't "take"
Did she create a whole new order for you? They charged my card already so I don't want to get charged twice.
 
no updates via text no updates via website phone says one or more items out of stock is this good or bad should I be getting shipping info soon
 
I'm going to faint: After calling that *6737# every few hours and having called the 866-267-4510 number a few times, it FINALLY says, "One or more of your ordered items is out of stock."

So, I guess this is GOOD news and I should be getting shipping info soon.

I ordered two (2) 128GB Mat Black iPhone 7+. One at 3:19 EDT and one at 3:39 EDT.

I get the "backordered" message when using either of the two (2) cell numbers. So, maybe only ONE is coming soon.

I'll let you all know.

And, THANKS to all of you for being so great with your comments. AT&T is lucky to have such good customers.

Can you upgrade using next if you reserve in store?

From what I read in this forum, you can do that only if you have reserved an AT&T phone. Some people tried to reserve a non-AT&T phone and they had to buy the phone via IUP or at full price to use with AT&T.
