The holdup in Korea really caused some inventory problems. We're talking about millions of phones on those planes. Just another thing to add to this bizarre launch.

I ordered that model. Seen a couple others on here that did too. None of us except for one that got it on launch day have seen any changes with our orders yet.

Someone posted a great article on this. It had the maximum capacity for each aircraft UPS uses for iPhone deliveries. It said the 747 can hold up to 600,000 phones but typically fly with about 450,000. Md11's/DC10's are said to hold as many as 250,000 but fly with just under that number.

There has been many instances where the phone was shipped earlier. At the same time there are many people who are still waiting as the expected ship date nears.

Yeah, I order right when pre-orders started. The initial email said order was completed at 3:05 am EDT. Later that day got a confirmation for the order saying the order time was 2:52 am EDT. Kind of weird, but... Nothing since...except the two AT&T spam emails and the constant "Preparing to Ship".

I've been following this for 10 days now. This is my first post. Both UPS and FedEx have planes landing in DFW in 10 minutes. To my Lafayette people, our phones ship with FedEx so we need to watch those lol
4 more flights are landing at DFW tonight (~5-6 hrs).
Preordered iPhone 7+ 128GB JB.
Preparing to ship since order was complete (9/9 3:04:35 with AT&T)

It going into backorder today did the trick. It's coming tomorrow. Ordered at 9:30 am on 9/9 128GB matte black 7 plus with a 9/23 to 9/30 shipping window. Good luck everyone that's still waiting I hope yours comes soon!

Jealous!!! But happy for you!! Anyone else order the same exact phone but hasn't had it ship out yet...? Preordered right at midnight here in Cali

AT&T has plenty of ways to check your order status. Ever since 9/9 my status has been Preparing to Ship on some sites and In Progress on others (including *6737#) so they mean the same thing.
 
Caved in.. Canceled and reserved with Apple. Picked up phone less than 10 mins in store. AT&T system messed up somehow. In the future only ordering thru Apple. Good luck whoever still waiting out there. Someone could have my place in line.
