Carrier iPhone 7/7+ AT&T Pre-Order Thread

I had a SHIPPING date of October 14-October 21 for my Rose Gold iPhone 6Plus 128 GB from AT&T. We are leaving for Europe on October 13th. I want the phone with the good camera for our trip. I gave up and cancelled the order with AT&T... Too much uncertainty. I just ordered the same phone from Apple with AT&T Next Year (24 mo./ trade in at 12 mo.) and got a DELIVERY date of Sept. 28-30. The AT&T order might have delivered by then or sooner, but it was too stressful. I am glad to have a sure thing now!

Also, those of you who want to click CANCEL on your AT&T order to see if it is ready to ship and you can't cancel anymore.... Don't be afraid to click Cancel. You have to click another button and give a reason for cancelling if you really want to cancel the AT&T order like I did.

In mi case; my shipping date is 9/15/16 and the delivery 9/16/16

So relax... they will ship the iPhone according to your shipping date.

That's not necessarily true. AT&T overestimates the shipping date, otherwise if they said that you would get your phone on launch day and it turns out you didn't, that just looks bad for them.

This is my third time pre-ordering from AT&T's app and I have always received my phone at least a week or two ahead of schedule.

Plus, both dates you listed relate to the shipping date. When you pre-ordered, you were given an estimated range of when your phone will be shipped. For example, my dates say October 14th to October 21st.

You won't receive a delivery date until it has shipped, for which you will then receive an e-mail along with the tracking number.

Funny thing is I ordered the phone maybe 20 minutes later than this and I have very close estimates. I have october 14-21. I guess being early does nothing.

HAHA i pre-ordered 11 minutes after release and my Jet black 7+ 128 is set for November. Imagine my frustration

Yes, I have a delivery day. But It because is an iPhone 7 Plus 128GB Pink Gold

Does anyone NOT have 'preparing to ship" for a jet black?

And will a physical AT&T store have anything in stock Friday AM?

I can't reply for everyone but I do have "preparing to ship" for my jet black. I spoke to an att representative and they said most local att stores will have a limited supply of phones so to answer your question yes they will have all the phones but in a limited supply so if you want to get the phone youre going to have to get there early.

This is a shot in the dark, but I don't see hardly anyone having extra of the JB models Friday. I mean I guess it's a possibilty but I'd think a slim one.

just pay that $400 balance and then sell the phone on eBay for about $625 and make a cool $225 profit.

Yeah… I have to admit I didn't think I would like NEXT. last year when I joined it. But it really is nice and convenient just to have the monthly plan. And turn in my old phone for a nice fresh new one.. And I like the concept of my phone being entirely separate from my service/data plan. Mix and match. Buy the phone from anywhere that gives you the best service… Choose a plan from any carrier that you like. That whole concept just makes good sense to me.

Except for some reason this year Apple chose not to put the CDMA bands in all iPhone 7es. We're back to having separate AT&T/T-Mobile (GSM) phones and Verizon/Sprint(CDMA) phones. Different model numbers. That seems a little silly to me. Well to be very accurate the Verizon/Sprint phones have all bands. AT&T/TM get screwed.
 
My "holding charge" the put on my credit card until my phone ships has disappeared. Can anyone check their account as well and see if they still have the charge on it or see if were in the same situation. They may have messed up my order
 
I honestly think this whole sold out in minutes thing is a load of BS. Per the ATT system. my order was submitted 2 hours before launch at 0100 ET and I still have an Oct 13-20 ship date. I just think the volume is uncertain at this point so they are giving far-fetch estimates.

My charge is still there
 
as possible as people SUING Apple via class action today in the upgrade program because they couldn't preorder the 9th.

Like wahhhhhhhh, lets sue over not being able to preorder a phone (and I never saw any promise you could upgrade at preorder 100% guaranteed. Only thing I've seen is after 1 year)
