I took advantage of a port-in promotion that ended on the 15th (for a free iphone). If I cancel the order I lose the promo. Otherwise, hell yeah I would have already gone to apple lol

Nope, the in-store reservation just puts a hold on the phone for you like any other product. They hold it for the time period you set and you go in and start the process. They don't check your account at all.

Also if AT&T says you have to wait for 24 hours to have your eligibility reset if you were to use AT&T NEXT, they are full of it. We asked for a supervisior and the AT&T sales rep instantly put an override in so it would work. Apple will help you call them and get it done too. They said they do it all day long.

This is typically true (that it resets eligibility right away) unless you have a unified account. A unified account is where you receive your cell phone bill on the same bill as your tv or internet service. In that case it can take several days to reset your upgrade eligibility.

Lol exactly man. Only after I chatted with them they decided to disclose that particular part. I wonder if I never brought it up, would they have texted me that crap?

I checked my status via *6737# yesterday morning and got the back ordered status, then got the fed ex tracking at the end of the day yesterday, went from China, to Texas to Hawaii in 3 days

Matte Black 7+ 256 GB ordered on 9/9 2:40AM Central with original shipping timeframe of 9/23-9/30. Received message from AT&T telling me my phone was on it's way on Tuesday, 9/20. Moved to backordered Wednesday, 9/21 in the afternoon. Tracking received Wednesday 9/21 at 7PM. Delivered Thursday, 9/22.

Matte Black = So pretty guys.

Yes I agree. This entire preorder at least with AT&T is so messed up. Shipping phones way out of order. Coming from android and I've only preordered note phones with AT&T but pre orders were smooth LOL
