Yes they cancelled the previous and charged the new one. When I looked at my order it had the proper dates.

Yup. I think they put people who got multiple phones on the back burner. My wife's phone arrived on launch day 128 Gold 7+, but mine hasn't moved 9/9 3:16AM EST 128 MB 7+

My order just went into back order status for my black 7+ 128GB iPhone. Ordered at 9:54 am EST on 9/9. The ship dates are 9/23-9/30.

I hope this means it's shipping soon!

Finally got my shipping notice at 7:55 pm. No details on FedEx tracking number other than in transit--with the three out of four purple arrows filled.

After successfully using the Apple store reservation system this morning I arrived back at home from my NC Apple Store with my new 7+ 128 GB (silver) that I picked up today. Note that I originally pre-ordered a Matte Black iPhone 7+ 128 GB from ATT on 9/9.

I have elected not to cancel my ATT order, which even today managed to navigate through their system passing by shipping orders to remain without a shipment/tracking number or status change since day 1. This even though my credit card was billed for the tax on 9/18 posting 9/19.

Thanks to golfdude for the heads up on local Apple Store inventory.

The Apple Store was great (insanely busy) but they were helpful throughout the setup process knowing my ongoing experience with ATT had been frustrating. Onsite staff had no issue converting the Apple reservation over to ATT next financing.

At&t must have read my post about telling them to f-off and picking up a phone elsewhere... just got the text saying my order has shipped and to visit the checkmyorder blah blah to track my shipment. So for me the time between shipping after being on "backorder" was 15-16 hours.

just got the email with tracking number as well. picked up in ft worth at 12:23 this afternoon for delivery tomorrow 9/23 by 4:30

Just wanted to say thank you for helping to distract me while waiting this week... it's been very informative and entertaining at times. I appreciate having a place to rant and being able to impatiently wait without judgment since so many were in the same boat. We are adults... it's just a phone... But it's an expensive one, and when you grow up it's the closest thing to that Christmas morning feeling we had as kids that we get to experience even if it's an indulgence for ourselves. Anyway... I hope things are rolling along now and ATT is catching up!

That's par for the course. They will charge you officially when they ship the phone.

So I have never heard of ATT having FedEx deliver phones on Saturdays before, but my brother's 256GB Black 7 delivered on Saturday, September 17.
Does anyone know if there were other Saturday deliveries? Because maybe we will be able to get some Jet Blacks delivered on Saturday if so... I probably should not get my hopes up though lol.

Ordered mine 9/9 around 8 or 9 pm and haven't get anything I ordered from Apple page, looks like it's gonna get those 3 weeks they say

Holding the matte black 256 plus in my hands now, the matte black finish is just stunning to look at. I find myslef just staring at it LOL. Grip is nothing special, but the matte finish is incredible. Good job by Apple for doing these two new colors correctly...at least thus far.

Woohoo so happy for you!! This whole ordeal has been draining and horrendous for many of us! We totally deserve the feeling of content with our beautiful devices Congrats!!!
