That's crazy I also put down $400 for my Jet Black iPhone 7 Plus 128GB... We also have the same estimated dates, but my order went through at 1:50pm. I was able to preorder 10 minutes earlier.
Interesting. My order went through at 2:53AM, but I got Oct 13-20. I have yet to see a date for a jet black 128GB iPhone 7 Plus that was before Oct 13.

Same way here, most I've seen have the Oct. 14-21. Maybe mine shows early cause I get Bill discount since I work for the Empire

I noticed that AT&T was updating the order status page on their website a little while ago. After that update my order status changed from "preparing to ship" to "processing." I can remember from previous experience that they do not process until they are ready to ship.

Yes. IIRC, processing means they are charging your card and readying a tracking number. Not sure but I think that is what a CS rep told me in 2014 for 6 launch.

huh? I went from processing to preparing to ship last friday

As did I and almost everyone else. From what I've been told, the initial "processing" is them receiving your order information, checking it all against their records, then putting an authorization hold on your card. The next step is waiting for inventory to match your order, then finally charging your card for the full amount and sending your information on to UPS for delivery processing. At least that is how it was explained to me by a CS rep. Could be wrong of course, but it seems to make sense.

What ship date did you have?

Ordered 7 Plus 256gb Jet Black at 2:53 am EST. Preparing to ship since Saturday. Bank billed already too. still showing Sept 30 to Oct 07 delivery dates.

How did you order it 7 minutes before the launch time (3am EST)?

Just adding this...

Last year ATT said my iPhone 6s was for Oct 16 - Oct 23 - Arrived On Launch Day
This year my 7+ 128 JB Says Oct 14....

Just to let you guys know...
The same thing happened to me a couple years ago with AT&T when preordering the iPhone 6. The only thing I'm worried about is my order status hasn't changed yet. If I were getting it on launch day, I think the shipping process would have started by now. I'm figuring if I don't get a shipping notification by Tuesday night, my launch day dreams are over.

It seems ATT screwed up and allowed people in before 3AM, I got in but was kicked out with like 5 minutes till 3AM, I saw the dates, thought they were wrong, they were the same when I got in at 3AM, and done at 3:04AM. Silver 256GB 7+ had a Sept 23-30 ship date. Others were in that range, Jet Black was in October ish. Very poor execution by ATT, they should of shut down the store before the launch time arrived.

I still haven't seen many Plus models having a Sept 16th date from the beginning, or in here, at least not the 256GB versions.

The site opened up 15 minutes early for some... I was able to order within 14 minutes of 3:00 ET.

Also it isn't like I need the phone right away, I have my 6S+, but it's the principal, and ridiculousness, that my phone is supposedly backed up up to 2 weeks after Launch, when I ordered 3 minutes after the launch date was to open. Makes no sense to me how that's possible, or right.

Tried Twitter and @ATTCares, they responded, but nothing sense I gave them my number. I also still have that error as of like 10 minutes ago on My Orders page under MyAT&T.

I do not believe ATT has received their inventory delivery from Louisville quite yet (UPS Hub) as no one has tracked any UPS flights from Louisville to Dallas. As soon as they do, we will start to see some pretty fast movement of the orders.

I agree with this statement, since ATT hasn't gotten the phones yet, nothing will happen.

Last year I ordered a 6S+ 128GB Silver on Sept 30th, and had into November ship dates, ended up shipping Oct 1st overnight to the 2nd, got that morning/afternoon, so these dates are very weird, and off. The fact some got in before 3AM and still have into October ship dates shows to me that these dates are placeholders, and they should move up a week or more for those further back in the line. But anyone who ordered within 15 minutes of the 3AM date IMO should get their phones launch day.

Same here. Got in early on the MyATT app and it took all of about 3 minutes (if that) to complete the order. Finished my order at about 11:55 pm pacific or so and received shipping dates of 9-23/9-30 for a matte black 256 Plus.

Do you think its true that 1.5 million iPhones fit on one jet
Someone posted a good article earlier stating the max a 747 can hold (due to takeoff weight restrictions) is roughly 600,000 iPhones but UPS likes to allow for other cargo (as to not totally inconvenience and alienate other big shipping clients), so each jet carries about 300,000 to 400,000 units.

I think I got one of the earliest IP7+ Jet Black. I still have a Sept 30-oct 7 ship date. It makes me think they planned on zero jet black IP7+ 256. I was able to get an order date of 2:44am

I know this isn't a popular opinion, but to the people not happy about their shipping time frames, no amount of complaining to AT&T over the phone or online will change your order or your shipping date. You're literally wasting your time and energy.

The phone will come when it comes. I'll be kinda pissed if my 7 Plus 128GB in matte black doesn't come on Friday, but I'll just get over it. I won't complain at some poor customer service rep who literally has 0 control over when my phone arrives.

Some here just need to relax those dates are estimates! They will change once At&t get their inventory. It's only Monday, well now Tuesday for crying out loud. Constantly calling and annoying customer service reps who are trying to make a living and has no control over the preorders is nonsense. We all want to see our phones Friday, I get that. Just let the week progress and see updates near Friday.

This is why they don't tell the CS reps anything. They can honestly tell customers "I don't know anything yet about actual delivery dates, call back next week". Lol
Btw, Apple, does this with their retail store sales staff. They literally are the last to know about upcoming products, product refreshes, or anything to do with upcoming inventory. I'm told they are kept in the dark about new products and current product updates so they can concentrate on selling us old stock. The last thing they want these sales agents to do is to tell someone not to purchase a current model because there is a refresh coming shortly. Push the old stock as far as you can. Nice, Tim. Sell someone old technology because you want to move your existing stock before people know it's "old stock". I literally had to bite my tongue in a local Apple retail store as a sales assistant was telling a potential customer that the iPad Air was the latest and greatest iPad ever, when Apple had jjust announced the newer iPad Air 2 a few days earlier. I pulled the woman aside and told her to wait a few weeks for the newer tech. She thanked me, but I think I got the stink-eye from the Apple sales assistant. Lol
