Carrier iPhone 7/7+ AT&T Pre-Order Thread

I don't think it matters where you ordered. I ordered 9/16 online thru Apple, 2- 4.7 Jet Black 128 gb with AT&T next. Still processing- no progress. If it wasn't for the $650 promo I would cancel. There's plenty In Stock and available for pickup at the Apple stores around me.

Yeah, this makes it my third year in row pre-ordering online via AT&T's website. The closest Apple store is about an hour away from where I live, but I never really feel like traveling that far. :-D

[doublepost=1475647667][/doublepost]After I restored my phone from iCloud, I ended up installing iOS 10.1 (public beta) on my 7 Plus.

Here are a couple of pictures of my "child with fur," Daisy, using Portrait mode with the Bokeh effect. (NOTE: The quality is not the greatest within these images, but that has to do with the dim lighting in my living room rather than the camera itself. I will try and take a similar picture once I can use natural light/take the picture during the day.)

I also erased everything from my 6S Plus and will be sending that out tomorrow. I even put it in the box it came with (took out the accessories) and even replaced the cellophane wrapper that it came with. Haha!

Speaking of which, I still have my wrapping on my 7 Plus, which I am currently typing from!

Anyway, I'm off to bed. I wish everyone the best and that all of you get your phones soon if you haven't received them already! I will still be hanging out here for a little while longer. I have found participating in here to be quite enjoyable. (...You know, minus the headaches that occurred due to trying to deal with this whole pre-order disaster. 😛)

P.S. For those of you who have already received your iPhones, has AT&T charged you? I have yet to see a charge in my bank account.

And if anyone is curious, I can say that the 7 Plus has a longer battery life than previous iPhone models. Not anything extremely significant, but simply something worth noting!

Oh! Another thing I should note is that my iPhone does NOT make the hissing noise that people have been complaining about. I'm not sure if it's because of the possibility that the JB phones were made within the past week or so (I'm basing this on what LMMAACC said in an earlier post). The only "issue" that I've come across is that my iPhone gets really hot, almost too hot to even hold onto, especially when it is running a bunch of processes at once.

Lastly, I just want to say sorry for how long this post is! Haha!

so far I have not had any hissing sounds or phone running hot. The screen is brighter than my 6s Plus. I really shouldn't be mad at AT&T, they did ship my phone almost 1 month before their estimate but yet I still did get aggravated, hahaha

However, it makes sense since that it would be hot because I am currently in the process of reinstalling all of my apps from my iCloud backup.

Once I finish that, I have to sync my Apple Watch to my new iPhone and then backup my phone and archive it to iTunes so I can eventually put iOS 10.1 (public beta) on it.

I also have to re-download iTunes -- hate that program... Caused me to lose all of my songs before and it always seems to take up a lot of memory and slows my computers down. 🙁

I was live streaming to FB on Saturday and my phone got very hot!! not sure what it was. Its only done it that one time.

Better light helps a lot! I did a pic inside and is was meh; outside was much better. They definitely charged me it my be a end of month cycle though.

My phone only got hot when I was charging it and installing 10.1 but I haven't actually ran wild with it yet because... studying 😕. The rest of the time mines been pretty cool.

Also I used facebook messenger one day for about an hour doing a video call.. it killed my 6s plus battery and the phone got really hot. I suspect that's a lot of work for any processor.

I think our phones are flying together from shipping hell. I thought I'd be coming home to it yesterday... but nothing happened. This morning I saw the text notifications... it moved from Memphis, TN 38118 to Memphis, TN 38101... What was it doing aaaaaalll day in Memphis yesterday??? Do you know if it's going to come straight here to P.R. or if it's going to make another stop at Dallas? Now I'm worried that there's going to be more delay because of the hurricane. You're in Puerto Rico too, right?

Does anyone know how long of a turnaround a phone has once it gets to the warehouse? I was told by two different CS this morning that my phone was in the warehouse and waiting to be shipped.
 
My 7+128 silver went to back order this morning via *6736#. I guess I'm a bit confessed by this as many of the posters here who's orders went to BO got excited. I read my text as bad news especially when it ends when "Sorry for the delay". So is this a good sign or bad. My husband pre ordered his 7+ JB 256 on 9/9 with eta shipping of 11/14 and it arrived yesterday. I ordered mine exactly one week later and now it's on back order. This is so frustrating. ..

You ordered it on 9/16? I ordered the exact same thing and CS told me this morning it's in the warehouse waiting to be scanned and shipped (hopefully they are right). Looks like we might see some movement on silver phones this week.

Did your husband order through AT&T? If that's the case, maybe i'm not too far behind! Sorry, I'm getting really desperate waiting!

Yes I order mine on 9/16 in store and it's being shipped directly to our local at&t store
