Wonder when that started? I pre-ordered my phone on 9/15 and did it through the ATT Next and will be trading in my old phone as well.

Please help!

I received my iPhone 7 Plus on 9/23 from the Apple Store, afterwards I traded in my iPhone 6 Plus into the AT&T retail in order to take advantage of the free IP7/$650 credit promotion. After a few days of use, I noticed a hissing noise (causing my videos to pick up the hissing noise) from the phone and went into the Apple Store on 9/29 so I could get a replacement.

At the Apple Store, it appeared that instead of doing a warranty replacement, they tried to do a return and exchange. This is where the trouble started. After returning the IP7+ with the hissing problem, my upgrade eligibility was gone. This prevented me from getting the replacement phone on AT&T's Next program, which is required to qualify for the free IP7/$650 promo. At this point I had no phone in my possession, as Apple stated that they could not undo a return and I had already turned in my IP6+. After 4 grueling hours of trying to figure out a solution with Apple, AT&T's retail store, and AT&T customer service over the phone, they basically told me I was screwed and had to buy a phone at full price in order to have a phone to use for the time being.

The next day, I called AT&T again to try to figure out a solution, hoping that a different agent would lead to better results. She told me she would open a case and that I would be able to qualify for the promo even though it ended since I was not at fault in this situation. If not, they would send back my IP6+.

After a few weeks, I finally heard back from them. I was able to get my upgrade eligibility back. Unfortunately, I was told that I no longer qualify for the promotion and that they would NOT be returning my IP6+, I would only receive credit for the trade-in (about $150). The only reason I upgraded was because of the promotion. Now this isn't happening and I don't have my IP6+ anymore.

Has anyone ran into this issue? Or, have any advice on what I should do next?

What's annoying me is that other people from other carriers and especially the Apple Store are getting their phones. Att use to be the only carrier in town that sold the iPhone and now it's become the step child. I guess I really can't complain though because of the 650 credit.

Yeah, the 650 credit is the only reason I ordered though AT&T and not Apple... and put up with poor advice from AT&T.

Once my wife and I are finished paying for these phones, we are jumping ship to a different carrier, maybe Google Fi will be available to iPhone then.... one can dream.

You should be eligible for it!

As it happens, I copied and pasted all the small print on their site at the time, then finally came across this site.

Call AT&T and escalate your problem. Keep asking to talk to a manager, then that manager's manager, etc. This is completely excusable as you traded in your phone for the promotion and received a defective device. The questions that I have are were did you order your phone from (AT&T or Apple through the AT&T Next Program)? Do not do a online chat, do not do a phone call. This one will be an in-store visit and threaten to leave their service or go public. It sounds like AT&T is at fault here for not honoring your trade-in while you received a defective product. I would print out the trade-in agreement that they gave you when you initiated the trade-in and point out that no where in the agreement does it say that you will receive any credit towards a defective phone.

I've all but given up that I get it before my ship date (7+ MB 128gb Est. 11/4-11/11) :/. However I do refresh Best Buy constantly to see if I can grab one there instead. Don't have any Apple stores near me or else I would refresh that too lol

I ordered the same phone on the same day as you and I'm still waiting. I live in Montana and there isn't an apple store in the entire state.

Seems like not much movement of anything at all this week sadly.

People who ordered through Verizon as late as 10/12 have already received their phones. Pretty annoying. I also see a bunch of 7+ 128GB JB near me, but I ordered the MB and still want that color, so I'd only cancel if I saw those available around me. There's a 256GB but I definitely don't need all that storage.

I don't think Verizon has near the iPhone customers that att has. I could be wrong though.

hey everyone! happy Friday. I just wanted to pass this along, I did get an iPhone 7, but returned it last night (battery life isn't as good as plus) and ordered the 7+ MB 256GB option and it had shipping estimates of Nov 3-10...So, I was like ok, whatever, but looked this afternoon and holy moly it shipped!! Should be here either Monday or Tuesday. I hope everyones phones come in quickly...I have been waiting awhile (went thru 2 pre-orders) but, I know many of you have waited even longer...I just wanted to pass this news along, maybe get a 256?

I would get a 256, but i dont need that much memory. My iphone 6 64gb is not even full and a 32gb is too little so the 128gb seemed to be the right size, but no movement on that lol!! -.-

I agree, I really didn't either...its overkill for me, but figured why not....it wasn't much more monthly...but I completely understand.

Guess I will be returning my iPhone 7 Plus coming on the 26th. I have a 6s Plus on Next paid off in May 2017. I ordered the 7 Plus thru Apple and selected, I am sure, the 20 month Next plan. Saw today Apple charged me full price on my card. Called Apple and ATT and see no other choice but to return. Keeping it is not an option. May now just wait till 2018. :(
