Has this situation happened to anybody?
I bought an iPhone 6S last year on the AT&T Next 12 with Down Payment plan that allowed me to put 30% down and then have the rest of the payments spread out over 28 months. This plan allowed me to upgrade after 12 payments, which I did to get my 7. There was $300 left on the plan, and per the contract in the box I could send my phone back and the rest of the payments would be waived if it came back in good working order.
On the 23rd I sent the phone back in the box my 7 came in. I did everything I was supposed to in terms of getting the phone reset and removing the find my iphone lock. The phone was in near perfect condition when I sent it in. I get an email from AT&T that my phone was received damaged. The email does not tell me what the damage was, just that it could be one of these 5 things. After 3, almost hour long, conversations with AT&T I finally got someone to tell me that it arrived and wouldn't turn on. The phone arrived in great condition, it just wouldn't turn on. They supposedly tried charging it, but it wouldn't work.
I have emails from the night before, 9/22, of me removing the services off of my 6S specifically. I even had AppleCare for the device up until 9/28, after the phone was sent in. If I knew it was broken I would have brought it to Apple to get it replaced before sending it in. I know I sent the phone back exactly how they want it, but they are now making me pay $248 because they claim it arrived damaged and will only give me $52. Also, they cannot send the phone back to me.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Still waiting for any update on mine! Ordered 10/9 7+ MB 128GB, estimates have been 11/18-11/28 since day one.
my order was made on oct 8th and it's for the iphone7 plus in matte black for 128 gigs. i've been waiting a little over three weeks now and i've just come home from my local target where i almost purchased the phone through them instead because they had stock of the exact phone that i ordered. upon confirming and attempting to begin the order the target rep kept getting an error on his system. the service for att would not allow the order to be made at this time. he called his target corporate office and they offered no help at all. after a while i finally decide to call att to see how they could help the situation. they said that my current att order had to be cancelled before i made a new order for my phone number through target (att). both target and the att rep on the phone advised me not to cancel because the cancellation could take up to 48 hours to process. the guy from target told me that he could hold it for me for 48 hours with no problem but apparently he had a peculiar case with a lady that wanted the same phone and cancelled with att and she ended up without her iphone 7 plus from target and her att order cancelled. she walked away empty handed because att took a lot longer than the usual to cancel her order. i took their advise and kept my att order even though it could take many more weeks to ship. it's a shame though having that box so close and about to go through the process to get turned down that way because of att. just wanted to post this as a warning for some of you out there that might just be as impatient as i am. try to stick to your order instead of walking away empty-handed like i ALMOST did.

I went into a local AT&T store on 9/30/16 and ordered the MB 128GB 7+. the ETA was 11/11/16-11/18/16. I figured even with that ETA, it was sure to ship prior to those dates. I thought that was merely a suggested ship time and based on so many other people getting them earlier then expected, I thought the same would transpire for me.....Well here we are 1 month later and the ship date hasn't changed. Boo AT&T....
Just went to back order via *6737# in the last hour.
7+ 128 JB ordered 9/27 @ 5PM ET via premier online store.
