Carrier iPhone 7/7+ AT&T Pre-Order Thread

They'll take it back out of your account when the phone actually ships. They put a hold on the tax you paid at preorder to make sure you have enough funds so they approve of your purchase that's all.
 
They haven't taken anything from my account yet. I made the mistake of not paying the extra month I had for my upgrade and when I tried to on the att site it kept saying it was under maintenance. So I had to wait until 2am pst to make my order. Not sure if anyone else came across this, but I am an employee with At&t and use the premier site to make upgrades. Expected delivery is 9/23-9/30 with a status of preparing to ship.

The PO and invoice number are on the fedex tracking page; I cannot find the same numbers in any ATT order email. I did read on gizmodo that UPS allows you to search by reference number and your phone number is supposed to work. I tried that on fedex.com and was not successful. I tried the ATT order number well and was not successful....the actual tracking number works. It's in Lenexa Kansas and is shipping Fedex home delivery to California.

One other item that is usually a good indicator is if the charge posted; they do not collect your money until it's shipped as far as I know. The credit card charge is what I usually use as my indicator the order is coming.

I found my Tracking number!!!!!

I found it on UPS.com "Track by reference"

Try by keying in this info below on the UPS.com "Track by reference" option

Shipment Reference: 1
Shipment Date Range: 9/9/16 - 9/14/16
Destination Country: USA
Destination Zip: Your zipcode (ex. 12345)

My order also shows that it is in Lenexa, Kansas and that it Delivers Thurs. 9/15. I ordered through the AT&T app on my 6Plus.

how do you do this? and did you order through att.com?
 
Just to clear this up, since I'm still seeing it asked about a lot:

"Preparing to ship" is the generic phrase ATT uses to describe ANY and ALL period of time between an order being officially accepted (meaning your payment method was verified) and when it is shipped. -This is from an ATT customer service rep in their official support forum. It is in no way an indication that an order is nearing shipment, or even that they have it in stock. Once they get their official allotment, I'm sure some people might start seeing actual shipment notifications, but it is just as likely many of us will be waiting until October. 128gig 7 plus in Jet Black is basically a complete toss up at this point in terms of launch day availability, and from what I'm seeing, I'd guess the majority of them will be going first to Apple.com orders, followed by a relatively even split between ATT and Verizon orders, then the other 2, then in store Apple stock, and assuming there's even a single one left after that, a small sprinkling of in stores for ATT and Verizon. I don't know why Apple saw it right to announce the 16th as launch day when they clearly didn't have enough of what they likely knew would be their most popular model/configuration, but I'll be quite happy if they surprise us all, and those of us who ordered within 15 minutes of 12PST actually get our preorders in a reasonable amount of time...

Mine shows shipped with a FedEx tracking number now. Delivery date is Friday and there's a red message on the FedEx site that says "Per shipper instructions, package will not be delivered until the scheduled delivery date.", so looks like I won't be getting a day early this time :). It was a regular iPhone 7 128GB Black ordered through ATT Premier.

But how can you be so sure that this shipping is yours? I tried it per your directions. and its only showing the last for number of the tracking number, scheduled delivery date, final city destination and last location

I ordered from att.com and at 2am cst
I received my tracking info.

You have to make a UPS account which is really easy, just by logging in with your facebook account. Then UPS website will provide you whole tracking number. If you do not make an account it will only provide you the last 4 digits of the tracking number.

I have a very rare zip code, I'm 95% sure it's my device.
