That's very true. Last few times I pre-ordered through AT&T, 2 shipment notifications came very late Wednesday night and the other Thursday morning. I wouldn't even be surprised to get word on launch day!

You're definitely not the only one. I've seen several through this thread. I can't say for certain that you will get yours on launch day. However, two years ago when the 6 Plus was the today's Jet Black, I received an estimated ship date of halfway through October and received it on launch day. So there is hope. As for the "Preparing for Shipment" most people are on that stage..I guess I'd consider it a good sign. Hope you get yours on launch.

I have 128 now and it's almost full and the 128 one sold out so I went for what I could get
I don't see where this person is being racist at all. The "Black Lives Matter" is a social stance that many people (Black, White, Asian, Mexican, Ect) have all supported. The original person said "Black iPhones Matter". While the comment may seem insensitive, it is completely harmless in my opinion and well within the person's right to free speech, just as Collin Kapernick is within his rights to sit down during the National Anthem. Many may feel that he is being anti-patriotic, but again, that is within his rights to do so. We are all excited and antsy about receiving our iPhones (Rose Gold, Black, Silver, Gold or Matt Black) on release day. Lets just drop the talk of people being racist and implying that they are teaching their kids to be racists or bigots.
Well time for bed so I can pray some crazy shipping goes on while I'm sleeping and I get an email tomorrow before I refresh this 256 times saying my iPhone will be here Friday.... I'll be praying for us all

I ordered that exact model from AT&T last Saturday and I have the same date as you... I don't know what that means but it's interesting considering we ordered multiple days apart.
Actually my intent is to get my iPhone on Friday, I have never not gotten it on launch day. I was also trying to shed light on all the stress we all have about our jet black phones not shipping my launch. You shouldn't own an iPhone if you have no humor in u. This is about a phone not people, take a chill pill and go to bed before I steal ur iphone

I'm not pissed at AT&T. And I certainly wouldn't give a customer service rep any trouble; it's not their fault, and they can't do anything about it anyway. I'm just pissed about the fact that I stayed up until 3am and wasn't able to preorder the phone for launch day. Isn't that what preorders are all about --getting the phone as soon as possible. I can't even be pissed at Apple. I just wish they had more inventory ready to ship.
And for me, it's the not knowing that bothers me. If I knew exactly when I was getting the phone I could make better decisions about how to proceed (cancelling the preorder and waiting in line). Although, my order status hasn't changed since the night I preordered, so there's almost no chance I'll get it on launch day. I'm probably just gonna cancel the preorder and wait in line at the AT&T store. I just hope they have at least a couple devices per model.
The funny thing is all I heard these past months from the pundits was how poorly the iPhone 7 is going to be for Apple in terms of sales.

Wow... You ordered before the preorder even officially started and there's still a month long wait. I'd love to know what this is all about. I'm assuming you got the Jet Black, but I would have imagined you would have at least gotten a closer shipping date when you were essentially in the front of the preorder line.
Have you even heard about anyone getting a Jet Black iPhone 7 with a launch day delivery from AT&T? Maybe Apple didn't allot them any since they were so short supplied...
I'm with you, no use whining to ATT reps, not their fault, I'm pissed off with the same reason, I ordered at 3:04 AM EST, and have a 1-2 week after launch as ship dates.
I blame both ATT and Apple on this, wish Apple would make more inventory, and I agree why have pre-order when you have 1-2 week ship windows.
The phone can't have any cracks or real damage like if the display has weird lines or dead pixels. You don't trade the old phone in until you get the new phone. The 650 is guaranteed in monthly bill credits over 24 or 30 months (whichever next plan you chose). Hope this helps.
