Just spoke to EE, chasing as might have to be out the office tomorrow, so wanted a heads up

ordered Iphone plus 128 black around 12ish friday-

he says they are now telling people 7-10 days before they are getting it, they arent sure they have enough stock, and i wont get a text till 8am of the day its due with a time slot.

That sounds more like it.
Why it's taken them til the eleventh hour before they started saying this is beyond me.
 
Kind of annoying when they take the full upfront cost for your phone when it's not even in stock

Ah well, I can't really slate them for that as they haven't taken the cost of my device yet.
Another reason why I know I'm out of luck for delivery tomorrow...!

I wonder if by taking payment they have allocated a device?

I've had a text regarding my Mrs regular 32gb Gold 7 is to be delivered tomorrow. Annoying thing is I ordered that immediately AFTER placing the order for my Jb plus. Still nothing heard on that.

Not a single form of communication for me and checking their twitter feed, their CS doesn't seem to know and hasn't given a direct answer to anyone. Might give them a call in a bit as they said that because I ordered via the phone that sometimes you don't get an email or text? Nothing showing via the DPD app either.

When I spoke to them yesterday morning, the guy on the phone said "as you're still waiting on a refund for your cancelled Carphone Warehouse order I'll put the price of this handset on your next bill so you don't have to worry about it just yet" which was very nice of them. However, I do worry that I won't be allocated a phone for ages if there's no payment been put down for one...

They have a full on canned response for EVERY tweet about pre-order deliveries which is:

"As pre-orders for the iPhone 7 have been of such high volume confirmation emails have been a little delayed however (1/2)"
"we will endeavour to fulfil orders as quickly as possible. Thanks for your patience. (2/2)"
 
Oh for **** sake, my sim card has just gone inactive after 2 texts from EE saying my new plan has started, it's been swapped to the sim card in the post i'm guessing.
 
I just looked at my DPD app out of interest since no hope that anything will be delivered tomorrow for me. When I clicked on the old deliveries it had pictures of the parcels as they had left them beside my wheelie bin as instructed!

They need to just be sending texts to people who are going to be delayed and then that would make their lives much easier.

To go back to a previous post of mine, I feel sorry for everyone who booked time off work to receive their order but is still waiting. I'm sure EE have made a killing in pre-order sales figures though, so at least we're all happy...
