So I preordered on the 9th and got the text yesterday afternoon saying 14 days.

This morning I got an e-mail to say it is being delivered tomorrow! Yay.

Anyone know what 3 are like nowadays?
I was tempted by three (if I didn't have the EE deal) few of my friends are with them and they've massivly improved over the last so many years. The fact you can use your phone at no extra cost abroad is amazing

Just found this thread:

Ordered iPhone7+ JB 128GB. I got confirmation email at 8.34am on 9/9.

Got the latest "personalised" text yesterday saying 21 days.
However if you ordered that model on release day, or yesterday, you would have got the same text.

I've setup the pushbullet alert for any stock in London. I'll just buy through Apple if I can and then cancel my EE order (may bump someone up the queue!)

New update from EE:

Update, 22 September:

Hello everyone,

Thanks very much to all of you coming back to the community to let us know your new iPhone arrived!

Stock update:
  • We have another confirmed delivery from Apple arriving in the next 24 hours.
  • iPhones in yesterday’s Apple delivery are en route to customers and more orders are being processed today:

    - If you pre-ordered the new iPhone over the phone or in our online shop, you’ll receive delivery information by text, via our courier DPD.

    - If you’re a new EE customer, we'll contact you via the details you provided to us.

    - If you pre-ordered from an EE store, you’ll receive a call from a store advisor as soon as your phone is ready to collect.
Finding the most up-to-date, accurate information from EE:

  • We’ve noticed comments that you are ringing EE for clarification and, in some cases, you’re receiving conflicting information from what was stated here in the EE Community.

The information you’re reading here is up-to-date, and comes first-hand from our Apple team.
  • For the most accurate, up-to-date information, please refer to:

    1. This discussion you're reading now
    2. Your personal correspondence about your order
  • EE Community staff talk directly with our teams working with Apple, and we pass on those updates directly to you.

We hear your feedback and we’re making every effort ensure we roll out information to all of our contact channels simultaneously; please bear in mind that we have thousands of customer service colleagues and hundreds of retail stores so it takes time for the new information to reach all of our colleagues.

So - please feel welcome to use this discussion as your source of accurate information.
  • And remember:

While the community is a great place to check back for updates on Apple's fulfilment of our orders, your personal details about the specific iPhone you purchased will be sent to you by text, if you ordered online or by phone. And if you ordered in an EE store, you’ll be contacted by a store advisor.

To switch to another iPhone 7 model

  • If you’re considering a switch to another iPhone 7 colour or size, we currently have strong stock in these models:

Oh i am going to get some damm good compensation for this delay a swear i will.
Compensation from who? For what?

EE shouldn't compensate you because it's not their fault if Apple haven't sent enough phones. At the end of the day it's Apples fault and they won't be compensating you either.

It's a crap situation but you're not due compensation.

Which Matte black was it?

The ee forum is causing some dramas! People claiming to of ordered Friday night Saturday getting DPD texts for the same phone as a lot who haven't received it order on Friday am

Pointing people to the forum was a stupid idea should of been a rolling page with just EE's latest information on it not for people to have a input

Yeah, I cancelled and went with a sim only deal from 3. My friend had their iphone 7 plus today at work and it just felt like the same iphone. I'd rather save myself a load of money and just upgrade next year.

Oh right so it's not a given that you can just swap onto the upgrade program?
I got mine from Stratford at lunch time and they were actively encouraging switching to the upgrade programme even if you had paid upfront. Although the guy that did my order didn't really know how to do it so I must have had about 5 staff members come and help in the end.

ordered mine from in store. They still not get any pluses in.
Looking into the IUP and there no normal sizes in any of my local Apple stores let alone any plus.
What was Apple thing? That they where only going to sell a dozen phones?

As I walked out of the Stratford Apple store yesterday, I got a text from the EE Store where I reserved my Matte Black 256 GB 7+ that they had my phone ready to collect! I decided to stay with my sim only EE 12 month deal (25GB,unlimited minutes/texts @ £25/month) and Apple iUP (£49 upfront + £49.45/month for 20 months).

In a year I can either switch to the latest and greatest phone or be patient till month 20. Also I can re-negotiate a better tariff or leave EE if others have better deals.

Do you get EE Roaming with your 12 month EE plan? does it also come with BT Sport..because if so that's a cracking deal!
