Is the 6-8 days timeframe not counted from the date of order? If so this would mean dispatched on Monday?
Perhaps it's due to the courier. Texts have been sent for DPD and U.Kmail but not UPS. Maybe ours are being delivered by UPS?Mine is due tomorrow - no text, no change in order status

Same phone as you exactly. Just added my county to the shipping address, I was so worried it would add a delay, but after you said this I had to try it... IT WORKED! 20th!

No pluses guaranteed...the sign outside the CPW on London Bridge Walk, where I pass on my daily commute each day, had the following sign in the window this morning:
iPhone 7 Available Here on Friday 16th September'16, 8:01am.
If anyone hasn't got a pre-order in anywhere else and are in the area tomorrow morning, I suggest you get your butts down there, sharpish!!!!

Nobody is stupid enough to think we've been bumped as hinted in a post above.
We've probably been moved early on like a lot of others (although we couldn't see the change reflected) or the date was wrong to start with and triggering a change in details caused the display to refresh properly.
Either way, it's a win!

Just had a text saying my 7 will be delivered tomorrow (UKmail). Purchased from the Apple store, still says preparing for despatch on the orders summary but I'm not worried about that, just an observation.
I'm beginning to wonder if the people who have had their dates move forward (like me), all had 27th to 29th delivery allocated and maybe the folks (like you) on 4th-10th October won't see a change (yet)...

Also, I don't think you get a 1 hour window with them, just a delivery date.
My JB 7 plus 256gb is scheduled 26th Sept to 3rd Oct. Confirmation email was 08:08. Tried the address change, but I got an error. Must be that the watch is Preparing For Dispatch

It'll be by a load of different factors, and people absolutely should not be getting their knickers all twisted about it at this stage.
It could be the sequence in which orders are placed.
It could be the sequence in which parcels are loaded onto a pallet.
It could be the sequence in which pallets are loaded onto a trailer.
It could be the sequence in which messages are processed by one of the many systems between the actual distribution and you.
It could be completely random.
Stop worrying, people. This is a complex operation.
I'd imagine yours was allocated from the launch pool so you will be getting your notification soon. I'm the bloke from Australia who got the notification last night. Went straight from processing order to pickup. Don't think they will give any shipping information because, as someone else said, that's an easy way to get a containter or iPhones stolen.
