Yep especially as I got order confirmation at 8:06 but not going to be delivered till between 4-10th October
Had a live chat with vodafone earlier, 2-: given a delivery number and told it will in my selected store tomorrow
Anybody that ordered a Plus model (in either black colour) from Apple needs to accept that they are not going to get the phone until next week at the earliest.

It's been a really disappointing launch this year. Apple need to get their **** together for their product launches. Can't help but feel that they purposefully under stock their products to build up a buzz for them.
I've made peace that there are no black pluses tomorrow... I've just ordered a storm grey 7plus case for pickup at my local Apple store today though! Anyone else got one? Any good?

I think that if the 8 turns out to be as good as the rumours say it will be, it will be the biggest selling phone of all time and Apple will have to seriously ramp up production and get their logistics right next year
I wouldnt mind waiting till early October for a launch as long as your guaranteed one on launch. Extra month to ramp up production.
But we are only a minority on here. I reckon a lot of it goes to scalpers who buy many and stick it on ebay for £1000 or so.
Anyway not sure if Apple purposely do it to create a demand or wether they genuinely cannot meet demand. We will ever know for sure.
But i remember the iphone 3G i just queued up at Apple store and got one same day without issues. Since then 3GS and up there has always been issues with stock.

I think one of the issues was launching 1 week after announcing/pre orders. They produced the phones, but clearly not enough to satisfy demand.
Though i suppose my argument falls flat on its face when the original watch was announced a couple of months before release day....

I don't think anyone here with an in store collection has had any changes yet. So sit tight. It will be there. It's probably there already.
